UT Austin Class of 2028 Official Thread

I know this year is different but for past years what has been the latest time that decisions dropped? 8pm CST???

People have been talking about this earlier in the thread. Long story short, it’s definitely not a bad sign, but can’t say much more than that with confidence.

can anyone share the link to see the $200 deposit thing?

Thanks! -to clarify -tonight’s update/decisions will just be for applicants that met the 11/1 priority application deadline?

Mine says, ā€œYou can’t use this system to request a major change. (XAP3)ā€

Agreed. Although UT rejecting someone who could pay an enrollment deposit and see their RIS is downright cruel.

Which link did you use/can u send a screenshot

Yes, but they have released some regular decision ones on this night before, but if you don’t get it tonight and you did RD, it does not mean anything.

We met the priority deadline. And were told by our college counselor he was informed by UT not all decisions are being released tonight. :woman_shrugging:t2:.

This is not what I need to be hearing rn :smiling_face_with_tear:

HUh? how do they kmow

Yes. The decisions released tonight will only be for those applications that met the Nov 1 priority deadline.

This has been the longest, most drawn out process ever.

The post I’m replying to says they called and admissions didn’t say anything about delays.

Mine says:
You are not eligible to request a major change at this time. (XNO2)

Does the different error code XNO2 mean anything?

Below that message, do you see First Choice and Second Choice?

UT will notify the majority of applicants of their admission decision on Thursday, February 1. This will include all admission decision types, including Coordinated Admission Program offers and denials. There will be some additional releases in the following weeks for a small group of students still under review for certain majors.

Its probably some RD applicants who aren’t getting decisions tonight Id be willing to bet all priority gets decisions tn

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… UNIV of GEORGIA - Athens (UGA) ran the cleanest and most transparent cycle we’ve participated in… NOV 15 Instate release 3PM EST… DEC 15 OOS 3PM EST release… one shot , one kill… portal updates with a .pdf… no tells, no hanging websites, no BS…

How is it possible these top schools run such shoddy software they can’t handle a few thousand hits… most are ripe for a good CS department to revise and revamp…

Which of your applied schools ran the best / cleanest/ drama -free cycle?
