Things work a lot differently for athletes though right? So they probably have a much different timeline for admissions

Agreed - it takes one google search to find the coaches name aswell

This seems fishy. Anyone can have their friend text them saying “decisions today at 3” and then change the contact name to “Coach Metcalf”. It’s also very odd that they would release during school hours in Texas

Yea, I still think it will be tonight around 6. 3PM is just a weird time for them to release.
I’m thinking 6-7pm timeframe as well. I will certainly check at 3, but it does not seem real.

Impossible, but the last email we got was about the Sugar Bowl. No financial aid email (which we have received from other colleges). Is that a bad sign lol?
No that doesn’t mean anything. They probably won’t send any more emails until all decisions are released

Emails like this are managed seperately from the admissions sytem. The guy who runs the tex admissions blog (who used to work there) has wrote about this.

I believe all recruited athletes have already received their UT major decisions a couple of months ago. I know kids in our high school did.

Ya, so whenever I log into my UT portal on my Macbook, it usually takes me to the old portal first, and then I’ll click on the new portal link from the old one. But I logged in an hour ago, and it takes me straight to the new portal without showing the old portal. WHo has a computer can ya try to login ?
