DS Deferred. Looks like the My Status portals have begun updating.

Deferred. Womp womp. So does he hurry up and send a LOCI?

I don’t believe UT wants a LOCI.

OOS Deferred as anticipated. Despite the expectation, must say it’s frustrating to offer EA only to defer 90%….

Accepted. Moody. Non Auto In State.

Five page expanded resume. That is the only stat I can gather that is different. And less impacted major. Good luck to all waiting.

Did all the people who had the $200 in WIO get accepted?

Yes. DD had $200 in WIO and got into ECE. OOS (CA)

My DS was accepted and had the $200. OOS, Public Affairs. 1410, 4.0 UW, don’t know UT weighted 12 APs, all 4s and 5s so far, except Comp Sci. Was expecting a deferral.

Hi y’all,

I was fortunate enough to get into my second-choice major today, but I’m still waiting on P2. Their website says they were not following the EA date, so I sort of already knew it wasn’t going to happen today.

Does anyone have any estimate on when I’ll hear back based on last years waves? I’ve been trying to find info about when the waves were for p2 last year but I can’t find anything.

WOW - way to go! ECE is TOUGH and out-of-state makes it that much more impressive! Like ivy leagues odds.

DId she apply for honors? Honors decisions come out like beginning of March. What little merit money UT gives seems to go thru honors programs and Cockrell seems to be the most generous, even giving some out of state tuition waivers.

If deferred, when shall we expect to hear final decision?

“By 2/15” - which is on a weekend, like last cycle. Last cycle they came of a few days earlier than that (I want to say 2/10?). They made an email announcement before that RD release like they did before today’s EA release with the date and info.

it was 2/7

So does the deferral have anything to do with the major? Meaning if these kids were deferred their chances of getting their major is reduced? Or is it simply a reaction to being overwhelmed by the sheer number of applicants?

Yeah, i think you’re right. They like Th and Fri, I havent seen them do release on weekends.

Congratulations!!! We are OOS, NY. You?
