Attention: Your file is in review. We’re currently reviewing your application for admission. Once a decision has been made the decision will be posted on this site. You will receive an email when your admission decision has been posted to this website.
This is what my portal says. Does that mean I will get decision soon?
can we expect a wave today?
My son got a CAP offer. He’s going to go to Texas A&M! Whoop! Good luck to all who are still waiting.
is anyone going to call them and ask about why our decisions aren’t up yet?
@freshmesh167 My D received her acceptance to CNS neuroscience on Wednesday.
Non-auto admit (not ranked), 1500 SAT, 3.87 UW GPA
If decision aren’t up yet! School is looking for space to put you in different colleges.
Last year my S and his friends were at the same place as decision waiting.
If you are HEART SET on UT Austin and not the Major, be patient and wait, most of Freshman will be selected into Urban Studies, Psychology or any colleges with open space. Like my S, if Major is more important please start looking at different option for next Fall. No-knock them, some friends did accept Liberal Arts college and maybe looking into switching.
Good Luck,
@texaggie do you have first hand knowledge that these kids’ applications are in this status you list?. doubt it. Probably just a glitch of something not making it into their app by Nov 1. AND FYI- Psychology is a UBER competitive major. They mention on their admissions page that you MUST list them as first choice to be considered. COLA at UT has plenty of their actual own applicants and two honors programs. Auto admits will be given a list of majors to choose from with Space- MANY of them will be in Education and some of the less popular COLA majors, some will also be in CNS. Psychology, government, Economics, History; etc will NOT be among those. They will be overflowing with people who actually applied to study those disciplines. Like all colleges inside UT- COLA has highly ranked majors. You shouldn’t be posting things to these kids pretending that you know what is going on with their applications when in fact- none of us do.
Computer Science, Priority Applicant (All documents submitted before October), International
In Review for about a week now. I don’t know if they would take so much time to reject me outright. So, maybe, just maybe I can get deferred. Ah man… I want in but looking at other people’s stats I am nowhere.
Regarding appealing, here is the link: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/adm/appeal
If you (or your high school or another entity) failed to send in required documents in connection with your application, you should consider appealing.
My son appealed and was accepted to Cockrell in 2016 due to a documentation issue .
Background
Cockrell requires transfer students to take Engineering Physics I prior to matriculating to UT Austin. On his application, son indicating he was taking Engineering Physics I spring semester 2016. UT did not indicate that we should send son’s spring transcripts, and we did not do so.
Son was rejected on 06/21/2016 (1st choice EE, 2nd choice ME).
We appealed on 06/29/2016 (including spring 2016 transcript from ACC showing he got an A in Engineering Physics I). Son was admitted in EE on 07/01/2016.
http://engineering.tamu.edu/programs/eh/program Smaller classes. Preferential class selection. Honors dorms to name a few. My son in A&M honors. UT denied for Biomed and UT recommended Urban Studies or Sustainability Studies… “Would you like room for cream with that Ma’am?” smh
@asking4help2 You don’t qualify for priority. You’ll get your decision by March 1st.
@ShieldOfGod How do you know that you
dont qualify for priority?
If I didn’t apply by the priority deadline as an out-of-state student, when will I hear back?
@girlfromtexas I do not think international applicants are considered in priority
are there any admitted student days/ open houses at UT? I couldn’t find anything on the visit website…
Still haven’t heard back yet and I met the priority deadline. Anyone else in the same situation?
Were all of your documents in by Nov 1st?
