To those who have have been admitted to BHP, is there a deadline to respond with confirmation that you will be attending?
You have to reply by 5/1. BHP day is 3/30. We are going to Ross Day 3/23. Many business programs visit days are around the same time. I think you will see many decisions soon after that. Many people on wait lists get admitted that 1st week in April

I heard that someone got an interview email for BHP today, so looks like the BHP boat has not set sail. I’m assuming candidates that have the March 1st message and haven’t gotten an interview have a chance of still getting an interview.
@CRJDOC nope nothing like that. Just says it was complete in nov gives the date… that’s it. i’m going to call tomorrow. This is insane.
My in-state D got a drop-down message in her portal saying “…we will do everything we can to provide a decision by March 1, thank you for your patience and interest in UT Austin…”. I believe it’s updated recently.
Morning All, not much activity here over the past week- any thoughts or updates? Are we done for this year enrollment?
I know that there were interviews offered early last week with choices of interviewing Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I haven’t seen news of any recent acceptances. Last year the last acceptances were approximately Feb. 9. So with those things in mind, I’d guess there will be one last round of acceptances before they start handing out deferrals. Then again, this is just one person reading tea leaves. :-/
Does anyone know when the BHP merit-based scholarship decisions start coming out/if some have already come out? I know they say on a rolling basis up till March 15…
No, we are not done with enrollment this year. My daughter just got the call that she got into BHP.
Just found out I was accepted via phone call!
Is there going to be another few handfuls of interviews, with the last of the decisions coming out end of February ?? I’m so confused at what’s going on right now with BHP
Just found out we were accepted, no phone call, no email, we checked the honors tab on admission status page and it changed to “Congrats you are accepted to BHP” . We applied early, interview on 12/7 if that helps, best of success to everyone
My daughter got in to BHP tonight too! We are beyond thrilled:)
Also, she interviewed around Dec. 3rd. I heard from someone in the BHP office that they’re not doing deferrals. Everything will just be slowing rolling out till around March 2. They said there was a new Admissions director over all of UT, so they were being told how to roll the acceptances out. So I would say there’s still time:)
D19 admitted today. Found via portal. Wait is finally over. Admitted to McCombs and Plan 2 mid nov. interview mid nov. instate auto, <2% rank, 1590 sat, good essays and ECs but not strongest for business.
My daughter received a voicemail and called in to hear her acceptance.
Those accepted, what are your credentials? My son is a junior and will be applying for BHP next year. He doesn’t have strong leadership positions so is lacking in that area.
I cannot say this is true across all BHP acceptances but the heavy focus seems to be on Rank and SAT/ACT scores. I am not saying because my DD has been deferred from BHP with multiple leadership positions and really strong and unique ECs , based on what we see kids from her school the kids who got in are really high rank top 15 rank and ACT scores 35 and above, these kids who we have known since middle schools do not have any stellar ECs or leadership positions.
