Would you mind chancing me for McIntire? I know its a competitive school but i think i have at least a 50/50 shot…opinions?

4 year, highest ranked, public nj school
JUNIOR transfer
HS GPA: 3.75 (with many EC) (Student government, treasurer of italian club, variety sports captain of two teams)
SAT:1880
College GPA: 3.828 (full course load every semester)
President of two clubs
Very active in GOP politics
top 10% of business class
top 15% of overall class
Beta Gamma Sigma: Business honor society (only top 10% of business school)
Golden Key: Community service and leadership honor society (only awarded to top 15% of class)
PSE: Business coed fraternity
Pi Sigma Alpha: Leadership honor society
Member of Leadership Development club

Internship with the governor of NJ
Works as a lifeguard over the summer and at my university during semesters

Eagle Scout

Recommendations: probably pretty strong, I know one of them was very strong

Essay: Average.

@Lionstransfer3 every McIntire transfer I see I have always said the same thing. You all are equally great students with an overboard amount of activity on your applications. This makes you a worthy applicant but it also means everyone is as well, so it will come down to your essays and recommendations to set you apart. So you best hope your essays weren’t as average as you say they were haha.

hey, your stats look pretty good. Only thing is they really like to take transfers out of the Virginia community college system. Besides that it looks really good actually. We had a few non community college transfers this year. One was from Cornel but the other was from CNU.

Do any of you guys know if I’m an OOS or in state? I’m getting in state benefits since I’m from VA but I’m transferring from BYU in Utah.

Everyone who’s applying to McIntire has out of this world statistics. I don’t know how admissions are going to pick kids this year

Yes it does. The average GPA requirement is also higher for the School of Engineering. You need at least a 3.6-3.7

There’s a lot of people that get in that don’t post their stats so I think everyone has a fighting chance unless they are total garbage lol

Well… Transfermer in the comments straight up says they are releasing on the 1st. But I would still hold out hope until 3-5 pm. I’m gonna keep checking the blog and let everyone know if she says anything.
