hey, just a heads up whatever you do don’t buy a meal plan. It’s a huge waste of money and there are so many good alternatives that are much more convenient and cheaper!

@basetwo when I called the admissions office, they had me speak with a dean…she didn’t even listen to my reasons, just cut me off and said no, they don’t give any extensions.

@hoospls yeah, she literally interrupted me mid-sentence and was just like “no, we don’t”…pretty rude imo.
These are long days and the transfer calls are non-stop. I’m sorry if you felt cut off.
The transfer process is so tight time-wise that extensions can’t be granted. We have to move to the waiting list quickly so students will have time to make plans to move.
This might not be the best place, given that this thread is for 2015 transfers, but this is a more general question, and I hope Dean J can answer it.
I will have completed all course requirements by the time I transfer (I’m a rising sophomore and hope to apply next year), except for the foreign language requirement. My community college (OOS) doesn’t offer any foreign languages above, basically, 102, and my FL (French) only goes to 101. Will my application not even be looked at if I don’t complete that requirement, or is this something that could be discussed with admission officials?

I just got an A+ for the first time and I decided that waitlisters should be admitted if they get an A+!!!

I was given an extension earlier today. They might have given me the extension because the financial aid office hasn’t given me any information including a preliminary award. The admissions people were very nice and quick in getting me this extension.
