UVA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@bigguy318 Are you applying to SEAS at UVA? And what’s your major?

Good news from the transfer blog comments!
Someone from here asked about the inquiry access denied thing and this was Transfermer’s response:
“Our decisions aren’t even in the same system (or finalized), so there’s no way that’s indicative of anything regarding their application!”
See here: http://uvatransferadmission.blogspot.com/2019/02/high-school-transcripts-or-ged-are.html#disqus_thread

Also another update from the comment section when asked when decisions would be released, Transfermer responded:
“By the end of April!”

Looking like April 26 is the date instead of May 1.

@cocteautwins Oh thank god, you’ve provided me with some real relief lol! That is great news. Phew.

@turnoverchain22 hahah of course! hope I covered everything in the template… We may both be from ACC schools, but let’s go Hoos!

@uvatransfer2019 yeah, i’m applying to SEAS. At VT we cannot declare until our second year so i’m still in general engineering. trying to do civil though

Dean Coughter aka transfermer just said on the transfer blog that “inquiry access denied doesn’t mean anything as the decisions aren’t even in the system neither finalized yet” there goes that y’all. For those who were worried, worry less, and for those who have it and have their hopes up already, bring them back down.

@uvatransfer2019 he didn’t say that they would be released by the end of April anywhere though?

It is a huge relief for many of us. But I’m afraid that it is just an excuse bacause if they admit this indicator, their official notifications will be completely useless. Just wait and see until April, 26th, then we will be able to know whether it is true or not.

Transfermer said this

Hey Transfermer,

I’ve been a College Confidential’s UVA Fall 2019 transfer page and a lot of people are worried over the “inquiry access denied” on the financial page of the SIS portal. Some of them are saying this is an indicator of acceptance, while others say that it’s not anymore because of the new myUVA page. I just wanted to ask if you could confirm if this is the case because me and lot of other applicants are curious is this is still a reliable glitch of acceptance or if it’s been fixed.

-Thanks

Hello Anon,

Our decisions aren’t even in the same system (or finalized), so there’s no way that’s indicative of anything regarding their application!

@RTCRTCRTC okay relax you’re thinking way too deeply into this .

@uvafall2019oof Under the ‘high school transcript required’ blog post someone asked:
"Hi Transfermer,

Great to hear that! Wondering approximately when will the decision be released?"

To see the response you have to click “show more replies” since he asked it under another question thread.

everyone here is trying to play 4d mind chess and I can’t help but feel compelled to speculate too even though I know I will not get in. like two more weeks guys

@bigguy318 Yeah I’m at VT COE too planning on CS. What makes you prefer UVA over Tech for Civil engineering though, Tech is ranked #9 for undergrad civil engineering.

@illiteratemoron you are definitely competitive in comparison to last years thread. I wouldn’t sweat the natural science elective since you’re just a freshman. If you haven’t already, make sure to send in mid-sem grades. As for the essay, I feel like transfer apps are much less holistic so they care more about your grades and achievements than essay, at least that’s what I’m hoping since my essays aren’t great imo.

@cocteautwins I was the one who asked that question on the blog. Y’all were really starting to worry me so I had to do it.

I have inquiry access denied!!!

Hi guys! I am a new person here (lol!) But I am just another one of the many people who has been reading this thread for the past few months!

Last year I applied for transfer for 2nd year, sadly got rejected. UVA has always been my dream school, so I have applied again for 3rd year but this time under the GAA with VA community colleges! I decided to finally join in the blog

Although I am under the guaranteed admission agreement, I have “no financial aid information found.” I am getting my associates degree this spring and technically they HAVE to admit me… it makes me believe that I did something wrong though but honestly this whole thing is messing with my head.

@zalo11 Thank you for asking!
