OK. We got into SIS (different login details). Under financial aid we see “There is no financial aid information found”. did not apply for financial aid, but some people just recently posted that even without applying they see inquiry access denied. Hm…
@klm63amg yep, got an email from them too. Hopefully that’s a good sign.

Also, I don’t know if this means anything, but I literally submitted my application the day before it was due and I just received “inquiry access denied” today, so I wonder if they looked over the applications in the order they came in or what
@gnpy123 “The financial aid office at one or more of your college or scholarship programs collects additional documents, such as federal tax returns, from students and their families through the College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC).” then the website asks for W2s or 1099s and a tax return (all for 2017)
As a HS senior, I received emails asking my to complete my financial aid information to ensure that it would get processed. Needless to say, I thought it may be an indicator, but I didn’t get in.
@cocteutwins That is interesting that it says “college or scholarship programs,” I wonder if that means for UVA! I never got an email like that, but I am pretty sure my profile is up to date so I am not sure if I would receive that email anyways… I don’t remember seeing that in last years thread as an indication of acceptance, but you never know
Does anyone have a plan on where you will find housing for next year if you get accepted? Idk, I feel like it’ll be very tough process since majority of UVA students most likely have found places but I definitely want to start thinking about it sooner rather no matter what my decisions turn out to be
A lot of apartment complexes do have space for single applicants to fill some of their vacancies in off-grounds housing. I don’t know too much about on-grounds housing besides Bice and Lambeth, so for my personally (knock on wood) off-grounds housing would be more ideal.
anyone think we could hear back sooner than April 26? I’m stressing about this so much I just want to know already lol especially regarding the whole inquiry access denied thing because mine still says no information found 
@gohoooosss Honestly, I doubt it… but I’m in the same boat as you. I have “no financial information found” and am probably stressing way more than I should.
I feel like if I don’t get in, my morale is just going to deflate x1000000. I really don’t know what more I could do to have a better chance. I keep remembering getting waitlisted out of high school and lowkey cry to myself because I have a feeling it’ll happen again.
But honestly the one thing keeping me positive is that I don’t think I would get straight rejected… like if they waitlisted me out of high school and since then I’ve been getting perfect grades then I should at least expect a waitlist. This next week and a half is going to be the most anxious week and a half of my life tbh
@uvatransfer2019 if you feel like you’re a very strong applicant why would they reject you? I think that a lot of us are down playing our strengths! I am trying to be positive!

Student at a Top 5 LAC w/4 semesters under my belt as of Fall 2019 if I get accepted
A few interesting internships related to my major, same goes for extracurriculars
International (but dual citizen and in-state)
3.9 undergrad GPA, 4.0+ high school
A strong recommendation from a prof, though I sent it in late

Don’t want to fuel any more speculation, but does anyone else have an Asset Information Request on their S.I.S. Portal under To Do List? The description says it “is required for us to complete your financial aid award.”
@norcagh no, I don’t have that, all I have is “inquiry access denied” and “award access not available.” I just recieved that yesterday morning.
I am guessing that “asset information request” on your to-do list could mean two things… 1. a possible sign (lol!) 2. your financial aid wasn’t fully complete so they need more info?
Honestly, I don’t want to cause anything but I don’t think UVA fixed the “inquiry access denied” thing so they are denying to prospective students that it means anything…
Based off of past years, UVA might release decision the 26th this year. If so, that’s only in a week if that makes anyone feel better.
