UVA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

What about information on your “to do list”? I currently have to submit 1040’s and w2’s due by May 23. My question is why would they want these from me almost a whole month after we find out who get’s in if I didn’t get? I also just got "inquiry access denied"for 2019 and 2020 on Monday night. Totally confusing times and i’m hopeful for the best.

Also does anyone else have anything on your “to do list” with “inquiry access denied”?

The to do list is mostly auditing from IDOC and us dept of ed

@gnpy123 same with me ! Too bad my parents wanna drag me out friday to visit binghamton university

@Dre51298 You are definitely correct, and no one knows for sure.

@gnpy123 same. It better be Friday

@JSTECK22 I have the same questions.

I have to dos and inquiry access denied.

If they process financial aid for everyone, how come not everyone who applied for aid has inquiry access denied then?

@Dre51298 I dunno I think I has to go through UVa somehow. I got my change for “inquiry access denied” on Monday night and the next morning I woke up with info in my “to do list” (was not their the night before). Also I submitted by CSS for UVa on 3/28 and didn’t get hit back until just this week. Whereas I submitted my CSS to another school on 4/13 and got a request for new information on 4/15. Its certainly possible, but the timeline sounds a bit weird.

@klm63amg that’s why I’m hella suspicious…Last year people never had their financial aid done and were declined. But it is possible this year is different! Seems like a lot of people are switching over to inquiry access denied at the last minute.

edited to add: This waiting game needs to end. I need to be able to focus on finals with a clear head.

I did not apply for financial aid and my SIS just switched to inquiry access denied. so that might be supporting what Dean J is saying?

@vaschools So now the question is if people who didn’t apply for aid last year also got inquiry access denied at some point.

@klm63amg yeah that will be interesting! I looked through last years thread and can’t really find anything about it

@vaschools Did you receive inquiry access denied for 2019 last year before admissions decisions?

@klm63amg unfortunately I did not know about it last year so I didn’t check. Also I applied out of high school so I don’t know if it was the same!

@vaschools what aid year is currently in your sis. 2019 or 2020?

imo, inquiry access denied is an indication. previous year’s threads were talking about how it’s highly unlikely that UVA would rework the SIS system just for this. i feel like the new application portal was a way to try to redirect us from the financial aid thing.

either way, we’re just 2 days away from the decision being released. all this is speculation, so really all we can do is wait for the actual decision. let’s just focus on getting through this week and hopefully we’ll get good news!

though when we post results we should all mention the inquiry access/no finaid thing found or not so that next years don’t lose their mind over this like we have lol

@Rjlake33 it’s only 2019! So I’m really not thinking anything of it at all. I’ve been following this blog and know you’re also one of the few who did not apply for aid, what does your SIS look like?

@vaschools did you apply for financial aid on previous applications? Everyone else has 2019/2020 who applied for aid. I highly doubt you should be getting inquiry access denied if you didn’t apply for aid. There is not fin aid package for them to be denying access to; there should be no information on that page like it shows at my current school.

At least game of thrones comes on Sunday

Off topic but,
I signed a lease for the 2019-2020 school on the corner (walking distance to grounds) a few months ago, and I really need to get out of it for financial reasons. Can I put a bug in y’alls ear for potential housing?

(It is an apartment with female roommates…lmk if anyone is interested…I might post more details after Friday!!)

@raenbougg if I get in I might be interested depending on the rent
