Does anyone know if Psychology is a competitive major at UVA?
@rmma123 yeh I applied to psych as well. I just got invited to the Golden Keys International Honours Society, should I send this in as a new honors thing?
I think that would help your application a lot so I would send it to them if I were you
Does anyone applying to McIntire have “Inquiry Access Denied”?
@Greek31kid I applied to McIntire and have “Inquiry Access Denied.”
Congrats! According to last years thread, that means you’re in.
@Greek31kid I hope so–obviously can’t be certain until we get the decisions in! I’ll post my stats after work tonight or tomorrow.
Congrats! According to last years thread, you’re in.
Does anyone who hasn’t submitted a FASFA have “inquiry access denied”? I didn’t submit one and mine says “financial aid not found”. But also, there’s no financial aid found at my own current school either since I haven’t submitted it.
@Rjlake33 I have not submitted FAFSA and have “financial aid not found”. I’m really hoping that the whole “inquiry access denied” thing is for the people applying for financial aid…
I just got an email saying my 2018-2019 (this year??) financial aid is updated. Then I checked SIS, nothing on 2018-2019 but 2019 and 2020 both say inquiry access denied. I just read through last years thread. Is this serious? I only saw people who got in mention that they had inquiry access denied, but no data from waitlisted and rejected students. I know that they just sent out the freshman admission decisions, so does that mean that the admissions committee is already making transfer decisions?
This is the first time I’ve looked at SIS since I applied from High School last year, so I don’t know if my Fin. Aid status changed from something else or if it’s normal for it to say “inquiry access denied”.
For those who are seeing inquiry access denied, does it show you financial aid year, or anything else?
So, I’m trying not to get bogged down in this whole SIS thing because of course the admissions department reads different geographic areas at different rates, there are people applying to transfer as second years, as third years, and in all sorts of different areas of specialty, etc. However, since my daughter never got the email about setting up the SIS portal (the continued use of which for application candidates is unclear now that there is the Application Portal), I’m coming to it all late. She was waitlisted last year. There is nothing on her SIS about financial aid info from 2018 or any other year. Under “View Financial Aid” and “Select Aid Year to View” there is nothing other than “there is no financial information found.” She didn’t apply for financial aid and I don’t know what it might have said last year. Odd that some people can see info from previous years. I think I’m going to hope that they just haven’t gotten to her file yet and that the lack of “access denied” thing isn’t fatal
I feel the same way @l2kids! We still have a month to go anyway. I’m kind of skeptical about the whole thing.
@busybee1234 I hope so too. For my sake, if you get denied with those stats I have no chance at all lol
I also applied for financial aid and have “no financial information found”, wondering if I should be concerned…?
I have “No financial aid info found” as well but didn’t apply for fin aid.
im so scared now lol, my friend has inquiry access denied and i still have no financial aid found omgomg
I applied for financial aid and my portal says, “There is no financial aid info available” I have no idea what this means. I’m a Mcintire applicant all I care about is the phone interview. If you do not receive the phone interview, you are not getting in from what I’ve heard.
