Same. Though it seems like last year they took people off the waitlist every other Friday? So next batch on the 31st? Iâm really hoping for the 24th though.

I had to call admissions related to a portal issue and so I also asked about the waitlist.
FWIW, they said the decisions are coming out in batches as the admission team makes decisions. They wonât necessarily wait until after May 24 to release more offers.

How many CS off the waitlist did you see ? I am still waiting for CS , if a lot of people got off the waitlist , probably I should not keep too much hope now.

My son is also waiting for CS decision! With every passing day, hope is fading. So much unknown, no idea if all CS offers have gone outâŠif their yield was very high this yearâŠ. Such a painful process and it feels like a never-ending one. I am thinking their decision waves will only come out on Fridays, have been the trend in past years.

I saw 2-3 on Reddit and a couple on Facebook. So hard to know whatâs happening, how theyâre choosing students. By major, by region etc.
Our other option is Penn state college of engineering for CS. Anyone wants to opine how motivated we should remain for UW-Madison for CS?
Penn State is a fine school and Iâm sure that your S would love it. I canât speak to specific knowledge about the CS program but really, it all comes down to how well they relate their professors. My D is waiting for UW-M but has mostly mentally committed to UMASS at this point. And you know what? She would love either place. We stress and we stress but in the end, these are good problems to have.

We loved our visit to Penn State and the Engineering/CS buildings were very impressive, the campus had a great vibe to it, and I think he wouldâve loved it there, as Iâm sure your student would.
However, he couldnât justify the OOS extra $7,470 tuition increase both Junior and Senior year. Heâs committed to a relatively comparable OOS school to Penn State and UW-Madison (rankings, $'s, D1/Power 5 athletics, etc.), but is still holding out hope for the BadgersâŠ

Any new update with the waitlist? Will the next wave possibly come out at a random point this week or follow the Friday routine?
I assume next Friday according to the main trend of last year. However, I do found someone gotten off the waitlist on Tuesday. idk how they work on this.

Thank you so much for helping us contact the admission officers and providing such important information! I am a waitlisted CS student, and I tried to contact them in order to add some additional information and express my interest on Wisconsin. However, the officer emailed me at 11:00p.m, saying that they cannot accept any information via email. My SAT score came out after the completion of the additional information Form of Wisconsin Madison, and I have reported it to them. My biggest concern is whether they can receive it. Do they have any ways that allow us to submit our additional information? Probably the waitlisted students do a lot of things after filling the Form such as participating in contests or SAT. Thanks for helping!
