Hopefully they do go deep in and your daughter’s case is more of a one off. That said, congratulations on your daughter’s other admissions!

Did your daughter get a spot in the summer study abroad but not get accepted? My admitted daughter wanted the Japan study abroad but didn’t get a spot (she is an alternate)
They said they loved her application for the Dublin program but she wasn’t going to be admitted to the university

Poli sci. So maybe they already have a lot of west coast poli sci types.

My son’s intended major is finance. Which makes me nervous. I know how popular business majors are. We are in CA.

Yes that could def be true…
Not sure. She was test optional with her highest math being AP stats. I know they like math. But she got into every other school with honors including some in the 20% range so

Do we think UW-M starts working on the wait list as of today? Tomorrow? My daughter’s 2nd choice extended commitment day to May 15 so I’m just curious about what the realistic time line is.
I don’t think anyone really knows.
I was told that the University of Iowa extended their deadline to May 15 because they had received so many requests for decision extensions due to late financial aid offers at other colleges. S24 just received his first financial aid letter on Friday.
I’m betting we don’t see significant movement until May 16. But that’s just a guess.

Agreed, guessing we’ll see movement closer to 5/15. Merit and Aid offers for my son’s current 2nd choice just went out last week. They also have a 5/15 deadline, but their housing selection order is based on when the housing contract is completed, so we couldn’t wait. If UW-Madison offers after 5/15 and he switches, we’d have to forfeit the $400 deposit…
May I ask what your daughter’s second choice is?

My daughter’s bff was accepted ea. Super high stats, salutatorian, biology.
She had planned to decline and go to USC (California) but Wisconsin just called and offered her a full ride. Not sure what that means, but assume they don’t love their current yield…you all may see some action soon…
