My son received the continued interest form as well. It says reply by Friday, May 17th so I’m guessing first round of waitlist acceptance will be on Monday, May 20th?
Yess I got it too, really glad to see them following up on the WL and see who’s still interested, hope they’ll send out the final decision soon🥹
Yes, we got it and my son said yes, still interested.
So does everyone get the email?
I was hoping May 12-13.
Son just said he got it a few minutes ago, and replied “Yeah, I was waiting for you to text. I knew the forum would be on it”
You might be right based on last year. If that is the case the current yield must be low because offers already extended have until May 15th.
Got mine!
My son also received the email. This is very much in line with last year’s waitlist release schedule.
So do they send this out to everyone, and then repeat every few weeks or just ask this once?
Based on last year’s thread, I think they only send the yes/no email once. I assume they send it to everyone on the waitlist.
UPDATE: I looked over the thread from last year and they sent a second interest email on May 9th, about two weeks after the first.
Do we have thoughts to what majors will have more openings- college counselor stated humanities could be less selective than stem for waitlist applicants
This is VERY 3rd hand, but I heard some of the engineering majors have low enrollment. Of course, this doesn’t help my daughter who applied Science… Hoping there’s moving all around!!
This is a good sign, they started to work the waitlist
What do you mean by started to work the waitlist? Like send out offers? Or that they sent out the interest email today?
Last year the first round of offers came 2 days after that interest email was sent. The fact that they are starting the waitlist process before they have decisions from all EA/RD accepted students might mean they already see some gaps to fill with the waitlist.
Which is what they did last year too right?
Can someone confirm that the email requesting continued interest in the waitlist gave a deadline of May 17? Saw that on Reddit.
S24 didn’t mention that and the CC thread last year didn’t reference a deadline either. If true, Wisconsin might not be following the same script as last year.
Confirmed. May 17 deadline to respond.
yes it did
