I was shocked when I was deferred and then even more shocked when waitlisted, but now, finally…ACCEPTED! OOS, 33 ACT, 3.7 UW GPA, 4.0 W. Not sure if i’ll accepted my offer, pretty set on the school i’m committed to.
My daughter found out today she got off the waitlist and was accepted.
Stats: OOS Virginia, 4.0 unweighted gpa, 1280 SAT, lots of clubs and member of several honor society’s, flute player, no sports.
She is not sure she is accepting the spot. She has another school she is highly considering.
Does anyone know how many days she will have to decide?
My son just got in as an engineering major. He was EA deferred, then waitlisted, but got good news today. What a process. He is OOS, 1500 SAT, 3.86 GPA with good Ecs. Very best wishes to all. We know how crazy this is.
@BadgerDadToo do u mean he just got the decision as in right now?
Yes. About two hours ago - that’s when he checked his email. He had been checking throughout the day.
@countrygirl79 I believe it’s 5 days.
Los Angeles , CA - My daughter deferred, then waitlisted. Very stressful. It’s been her dream. Her dad, aunts are alumni.
May 1st - she accepted University of Maryland - and, very very excited! The right place for her!! meant to be.
But, now Ironically, she just got accepted to Madison - No clue what she will do!
How much do you think Corona has to do with waitlists?
I’ve been wondering the same thing
Hopefully they admit a lot more people because of COVID
I do hope so as well. When should we expect to see another wave given the last one was today?
@zoomtransfer123 We can’t really expect anything since waitlists are full of uncertainty. My best advice is to just stay hopeful. Good luck to you!
@wadewoodson it’s sad cause I’m on a clock. My school says that 5/22 is the last day to request sending an official final transcript. I’d much prefer my waitlist decision to come b4 then otherwise I’d have to send the transcript elsewhere;(
Can anyone who have been selected from wailist please share their admission letter on this thread( by share I mean copy and paste)
I got waitlisted, they told me to self-report my grades and I forgot to update them by their May 8th deadline.
COVID 19 has had a tremendous impact on waitlists! Schools are expecting a lot of melt this summer, due to economic and virus concerns. Almost all colleges are seeing signs of changes in yield. Upper class sizes are expected to be impacted also.
My son has declined his offer from Wisconsin. Hopefully that opens up a spot for somebody else still on the waitlist. Good luck.
@HokieCrazy if you don’t mind then can you please share your offer letter?
Best of luck to your son @HokieCrazy and thank you for all of your helpful comments on this and other threads!
Still waiting and hoping. :bawling:
