you had a 3.6 and were waitlisted… im screwed

I’m a little worried too now. I thought Vanderbilt would be a lock with a 3.7 or higher but now I’m not so sure

It’s not all about the stats guys, it’s more about the whole package.

I’ve been waitlisted as well…

Must have been my first year at Illinois State? I’m also Hispanic and 23 years old.

Has any of you got a result? When is your application complete? I am getting anxious as time passes by but no decision is released…

I wish I could just know. I’m so tried of waiting. If I sent my application in on February 24, what do you guys think the probability is that it was mailed on Wednesday?

@toofymcjack–A letter? You mean you received a mailing letter telling you the admission information? No email alongside?
If so, do you think I should call the office for the decision? Since I am an international and it takes time for the letter to arrive at my mailbox. XD
Good luck!

Wow. I didn’t think they really wait-listed transfers. Usually it’s either you’re in or you’re not. I’m gonna have to put a deposit down by May 1st at one of my accepted schools no matter what so I hope I find out before then.

@GiantPeach
Yes I got a physical letter, no email. My home is 30 minutes or so from Nashville so I am guessing they sent the first batch of letters out Wednesday. I would call them and see if they reviewed your app

toofy was it express mail or just regular mail?

just regular mail

I’ll take a waitlist over a no, but I’m nervous now, I have barely any extracurrics, just a 4.0 and a double major :/

just a 4.0 booohoooo. where are you currently at?

@Sammywho - Yeah a wait list is better than an outright no, but I hope the outcome is good from the wait-list too! I’ll be really upset if I get wait listed and then rejected. Personally, I’d feel like I failed twice :(

Btw “just” a 4.0 and double major. That’s pretty awesome!!!

Being on the waitlist probably isn’t a bad thing at all. I bet a lot of the people they admit as transfers into Vanderbilt have it as their 4th or 5th choice behind a couple of Ivies or Georgetown or NYU, just like the freshmen.

Lol watch me get rejected right out :-(

This is the first time I have ever heard of a transfer wait list o.O

They must have a huge increase in transfer apps this year >.<

Good luck guys and gals, my fingers are crossed for all of us~

let’s keep our fingers crossed, hopefully we’ll get some answers tomorrow!

and agreed. waitlist is better than as no, but i don’t know if I can wait that long!

A transfer waitlist??? Wow that’s quite new to me. Still better than a rejection though. I guess I’ll still have to wait until next week then
