D24 Accepted. 4.0 IB Diploma anticipated, 33ACT, Good local involvement with state Reps and MUN club at school.
Accepted: Vassar, Wesleyan, Bates, Haverford, CMC, Oxy.
WL: Bowdoin, Dartmouth, Pomona, Skidmore
Rejected: Brown, GT.
She received good Merit from CMC and Oxy. No aid from any schools.

That’s strange - I tried to join the general Vassar Parents FB page and got rejected, they told me it was for parents of current students only. Wonder how others were able to get in?
Have you submitted enrolment fee?
There are plenty of parents on who had kids get in ED. When I joined in December it asked if I had a newly accepted student.
current Vassar junior – they messed up my fin aid between my sophomore and junior years and I had to email to resolve it. If yours is that bad and you’re interested in coming to Vassar, it’s worth emailing fin aid office. Include some info about offers from other schools, and ask if there was a mistake or if they could change your fin aid a little to be more competitive with other schools.
Worth noting that the fin aid formulas changed this year; maybe they’re still figuring it out?
They know that most low income students are basically picking which school offers the best fin aid. Worst come to worst, they won’t change anything, but they at least know that mid fin aid is the reason you didn’t come. Encourages them to do better for everyone else haha

Nothing for us either. We called last week to ask if we were missing something and the admissions office said we should’ve gotten something by now and they were going to check into it.
Nothing here, either…nor from his other schools that came out the same week.
Same, nothing. They supposedly sent boxes (this was referenced at the admitted day) but S24 did not get one.
My son was admitted ED on 12/8 and he received a few goodies in the mail on 1/2. So takes several weeks for them to get out.
D24 did not get one either. Also learned of its (supposed) existence during faculty forum at accepted students day.

D24 just got in off of the waitlist. What a wild ride this has been. They gave her until Friday to decide…
