Very important question about The Good Wife

^^that’s good, myos, I like it.

I’m with Cary…really fed up with Alicia’s ‘thing’ - whatever it is. She’s addicted to Peter and his drama, which Jason sees clearly. She’ll never be free of Peter and doesn’t really want to be. I did like her hair this week though!

Yes,@Snowdog, her hair did look better. I have not liked it since it’s been shorter until this week’s episode.

Superb final episide. Don’t want to spoil for anyone who has not watched yet, but you will not be disappointed.

It’s worth watching the brief comments on CBS from the showrunners explaining some of the decisions re the finale.

Really? I liked some parts, but disappointed at the lack of resolution at the end :-(. I wanted 5 more minutes!

I think they tied up enough loose ends. Pretty clear who Alicia chose - although not definite how he will respond. I liked the resolution with Peter - both in terms of his sentence and the dropped hand. And the special guest - loved those scenes.

I loved it. Loved it.

RVM, where can we find the comments from the showrunners? We taped the episode and watched until the end but I didn’t see anything at the end.

Online. Just google good wife and there is a 7 minute interview on cbs.com with the Kings.

I fell asleep :frowning:

To me, it seemed Alicia 's become the new Peter, except with a dead love instead of love by her side.

Loved, loved, loved seeing Will again and his helping her through things. Reminded me (yet again) how the show lacked warmth after he left.

Hmmm, too bad there was no way to post a spoiler alert last night. I’m sorry this show has run its course, but at least now people can call me between 9-10 p.m. EST on Sunday.

Thanks @rockvillemom

I kept wondering if this was the VERY last of the the “final season” because its end seemed a bit unsatisfying. Dropped hand? A clap in the face? But then, I was so happy to have Will come back. Oh darn for Alicia. He was her true love. If I had taped it to see it again, I’d still be surprised by the ending. But oh so fitting.

I thought it was well done in the way that the ending bookended the very beginning of the show in Season 1. I was glad for the non-resolution except for the dropped hand because it would have been too trite in my opinion for a ride off into the sunset with a new love and live happily ever after.
Did anyone have the thought that the ambiguity and the scene with Eli implying the donations to Alicia… might portend a sequel series with Alicia moving on into a new political career? Clearly the law firm relationship with Diane seemed to resolve itself…

I didn’t think of a spinoff. I thought of how men are still manipulating her.

I thought it was a satisfying ending. Riding off into the sunset with Jason would have been dumb. Alicia did whatever she had to do and rode over anyone in her way to get what she wants. In saving Peter she became just like him. The slap to echo episode 1 was well placed therefore. Perhaps Alicia’s shock that Diane would take total betrayal personally - she seemed ready to greet Diane as if nothing had happened - will be (we’ll never know) a wakeup call.
