She just sighed and the episode ended before she could give an answer. Wasn’t expecting Cary to depart the way he did or expecting Eli to strategize how to protect Marisa. The show is going out with a bang. Now we have to wait two weeks to find out what she said since the ACM awards show airs next Sunday.
Oh, I didn’t realize that was a sigh. Dang. I was kind of hoping it was a no. I loved last night’s episode.
FINALLY!!! I’ve not liked Alicia for a while, but I cheered when she said “I want a divorce”.
And I hope, hope, hope she says “no” to Peter’s last request.
Still don’t like Jason but whatever. I like that she doesn’t claim it’s true lurv, but just FWB sorta.
Didn’t see it coming: Cary quitting; Eli protecting Marissa and not Peter.
No new episode till April 17!!!
Oh, no - 3 weeks!!! I want Alicia to walk away from Lockhart whatever we’re calling it now. I think Anna Camp’s character will sign on with Diane to be the new version of Alicia and I want Lucca to leave with Alicia as she starts a new life without Peter.
I don’t care if she stays at Lockhart Agos and Lee, or goes.
I do care that she is FINALLY leaving that corrupt, cheating husband of hers.
I think it would be the perfect bookend of the show for her to not be the good wife at the end standing by her man. Seems their wrapping up the characters storyline. …it would be even better if Cary would go to be with Kalinda.
^It’d be awesome if Carry left to be with Kalinda, but we already know Archie Panjabi won’t make a cameo in the final episodes.
I agree her not standing by Peter would be perfect.
How many episodes are left?
Alicia would’ve learned nothing and not grown as a woman if she says yes to Peter this time. She’s got more of a backbone now then when the series started.
I wonder if Kalinda is on that tropical island Cary was looking at on his computer before Alicia walked in, and if that is where he’s headed.
On Super Bowl Sunday, they teased 9 episodes left. I haven’t been counting, but I think we have probably had 5, maybe 6.
According to Wikipedia, four episodes are left … April 17 and 24 and May 1 and 8.
It was episode 17. It starts again in April (17?) and ends on the 8th of May. So, 4 episodes? Unless there are doubles, which they often do for the series finale.
I just reached all the episodes on Amizon Prime. One thing that jumped out was that while Alicia was furious with Eli about the phone call from Will being erased in season 1 or 2, she and Will had gone on to have an affair and talked about her not getting the message, so while what Eli did in erasing the message was controlling, it wasn’t the ‘now he’ll never know because he’s dead’ situation that was presented when Eli/Alicia had it out on the campaign bus.
It rewatching, it’s pretty clear they are out of story lines. I can accept a lot of the need for TV to get a trial completed in a week, and evidence to pop up Perry Mason style, but the ethics in the law firm are too unbelievable. Kalinda is an employee, then an independent contractor, then they are paying her more than a partner, then she commits outright crimes, then they take on clients who they had just sued, then Howard commits about 10 types of harassment by walking around an office with glass walls in his undies. The biggest one for me is having partners who aren’t lawyers (Eli). Can’t be done, so why do it?
I guess I’m ready for it to be over.
While we’re on the subject, I found the opening sequence with father and daughter in the last show very moving.
When it’s good, it’s very good. They are smart to wrap it up now. Too many shows go a season or two longer than they should.
One of the many things that annoyed me about Grey’s Anatomy was that J D Morgan’s beard was always the same length, even though he was in the hospital dying. So I was amused when Alicia teased him about his beard not growing. No, Eli is not in romantic love with Alicia, IMO.
Just caught up with the episodes last night. Is it just me or has the show gone downhill this year? The partners drama is so immature - can’t believe they are doing this again. I truly liked Cary for walking out Alicia and Jason - don’t really care for this relationship. Alicia and Peter - haven’t we been there before? The first few seasons were so good, so gripping that this feels like a farce. Glad this is the last season…
I screamed at the TV!
What do you think the verdict will be? And if there are spoilers out there, I don’t want to hear them!
Was last night a way for us to say goodbye to characters like Jackie, Veronica, Owen, Zack, and Grace?
I haven’t liked this show in a long time but want to see it to its end. But geez o pete – they are making it hard for me to care about these last two episodes.
I think ‘guilty’ (NOT a spoiler just speculation). The irony would be that Peter’s guilty of other things but not that particular one.
