Very easy to transfer from business to a science or add a minor in science. Transfering into business from science can be trickier but not overly difficult.
Thank you so much!
Great info. Thx!
Just curious, does anyone have a rough estimate on the COE acceptance rate in previous years? Wanted to verify the information at this link is correct: https://udc.vt.edu/irdata/data/students/admission/index#college
Congrats! We were as well.
My daughter received an email today inviting her to the honors college. It may also be in her portal, but she isn’t able to access her portal!
DS got an Honors College invite email last night. He was accepted in the December tranche but did not apply to Honors College. The portal also mentions the offer and that additional information will be emailed soon…
Has anyone seen anything related to accepted student tours, etc… ?
It looks like Hokie Focus days for admitted students will be April 6 and 7. https://www.vt.edu/admissions/undergraduate/visit/hokie-focus.html
No link to register yet. My understanding is that you choose one day or the other.
Anyone know the difference between Hokie Focus and Admitted Student Visits.
We can’t make Hokie Focus and have yet to visit the campus. Does admitted student visits include a tour of the campus and sessions with your college you are admitted to?
I believe they admit transfers by major and each major has a minimum number of transferable credit hours that must be completed prior to admission. I think it would be difficult to complete transfer requirements in a single Summer and Fall term. But not sure. Always check with the Admissions Office.
When are the admitted student visits? I don’t see anything for that.
Exactly - this is why the Community college suggestion would rub me the wrong way if my kid had these stats (which he doesn’t, lol).
The community college piece would rub me the wrong way too. The more I’m asking around, I think the test optional is hurting the admissions process as well.
I don’t recall the Admitted Student visits being offered last year. I wonder if they were added because Hokie Focus typically fills up? They seem to be set up during some common spring break weeks.
I would go to Hokie Focus if you can - it’s more of a pep rally feel and a lot of excitement.
Anyone able to put a housing deposit down yet?
With the size of VT I am surprised they don’t have more admitted student sessions. Penn State has many spread over multiple weeks. Waiting until April seems so late to me. She hasn’t visited yet but I would like her to seriously consider it.
Yes, April seems late. You may consider the March 16 & 17 Open Houses. Probably not as exciting as Hokie Focus, but is a few weeks earlier. Son is having a hard time deciding and we would like to get visits in as soon as possible.
Which school is he trying to decide between? My daughter seems to be so gungho on one that it makes me wonder if she’s just jumping too quickly to decide.
