This was sent to my son and we did not complete the FAFSA so it would make sense to NOT get this if you already completed it.

FYI, to be eligible for Merit at Virginia Tech and possibly other schools, you’ll need to complete the FAFSA, but at Virginia Tech you definitely have to


Also, I believe on the Common App, providing your SSN# is listed as optional, so my son did not provide last year. Well, that caused a delay in linking his FAFSA with Virginia Tech and receiving Merit, but wasn’t an issue at other schools, which was frustrating

completed fasfa and still received that email

I completed FAFSA but not the General Scholarship Application. I got a reminder to complete both. Also got a “Us + You = One of our favorite equations this Valentine’s Day!” and “offering Zoom FAFSA sessions”.
I know better than to read anything into this, after SBU asked me for my t-shirt size and then deferred me the next day lol

My son received this email today and they just sent another to both parents reminding to complete FAFSA for scholarships. We did not submit FAFSA.

We received the college of science valentines. The FAFSA. I believe we logged into a Financial Aid page somewhere and saw they had our FAFSA. Though we don’t qualify for anything.

filled out FAFSA but it doesn’t show up anywhere on the portal. Where do you see as received? Valentine email, yes. FAFSA, no. Hoping that doesn’t mean anything.
