Has anyone heard anything about when in-state people will hear from the waitlist?

Then they must not have done their research before applying because VT has never been known to give generously to OOS.

For those that have gotten off the waitlist, where did you see the news in your portal?

Was the Decision Letter section updated or was it up top with the ā€˜you have elected to remain on the waitlistā€™ section?

It shows up as a second decision letter. I was accepted off the waitlist in March and got a financial offer last week. OOS.

College/career specialist talked about senior surveys at school, but then kind of shifted to a more hypothetical conversation about waitlists, even briefly discussing what might happen if Virginia Tech comes through next week (IF it were to), and then got into the whole final transcript thing. Iā€™m kind of wondering if the waitlist for in-state students might finally come out this Friday?? A little clue?

Maybe they are waiting to release batches for in-state students around May (like one person heard from the admissions office), and waiting to see who commits and declines offers.

I think they only release on Fridays, but hope, since theyā€™ve also released on a Saturday

Last year in-state people heard back on April 30th which was a Tuesday

Thereā€™s just no way theyā€™re going to pull out of state kids off and not in-stateā€¦ and is it just me or VT has become generous with their waitlists this year

Noā€¦ but i know that people have gotten off May 2nd too before and that was 2021.

Maybe they have i really hope soā€¦ and yeah they cant just take off only out-of-stateā€¦ They will definitely take people off April 30th I can almost put money on it
