Wait where is the waitlist option… I do not see that?
Hmmm, we don’t have a waitlist option either. Maybe it does mean something? Do you have anything in the code about “move-in day”?
Let me check. I know there is something about resident card. DO you have move-in day?
yes
I do. Idk how long it’s been there though. May have always? Im not sure
Not sure either. It may mean nothing either…
I have both waitlist and move-in day…
Interesting. I think it might be helpful to remember that portal code could be loaded at different times for different people. It’s probably only useful a few hours before decisions come out, and maybe not even then.
Any further color on the day/time? Most posts seem to lean towards 3/22.
Last year decisions were released on Friday 3/17 @ 7:30pm EST.
My daughter was notified that she is a finalist for the presidential art scholarship. She’s waiting to hear if she got in during regular decision. Anyone know the likelihood of being accepted under these circumstances? This waiting is painful as Wake is her top top choice!
Wake is last school kid is waiting on. Hopefully comes out soon to get some clarity on where to go/what to choose. Crazy ride for sure. Strongest part of app is ACT of 34, hopefully Wake will be enlightened enough to go gpa blind this year. Normal kid ECs, part time jobs, etc. No research unless you count trying to determine how many chipotle burritos can be eaten in one week (you may be surprised). Good luck to all.
Same here except cheeseburgers. Will add that Wake is not likely to be affordable but kid needs to see numbers before making final pick.
Ah for the days when a high test score could make up for a couple hiccups on the transcript (and I speak from experience—that’s the way it was in the ‘80s)
80s were a magical time for sure. You could also just hack into the high school’s computer and change your grades by using a dial up modem, right before almost starting world war 3 with the Soviet Union. Simpler times…
When did she find out about the scholarship? I think normally that means acceptance is a given
To be fair, I crushed Tic Tac Toe during those times.
Just as a follow up to my previous post. We know two Wake applicants for RD. One can see “waitlist” in the code for the applicant portal page and one cannot see “waitlist” in the code (both using thee “Inspect” function on Macbooks. Wake is a significant reach for the applicant who can see “waitlist” while the the applicant who cannot see it is a much stronger student. As an experiment, search your portal for “waitlist” and report back here. It may, I repeat MAY be some indication of outcome once decisions are posted.
“Waitlist” appears in DS’ code as a Google tag manager reference to “C2C - Waitlist” which is likely this: https://c2c.wfu.edu/. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with an admit status.
Thank you - that will be a relief to at least one anxious applicant
