Wake Forest Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

I’d love to know when decisions will be released as well.

Thanks! I found it. And my kid also has the incoming-students and admittted-students links in her code (as noted by Student61, above).

Does anyone. – anyone who is able to reach that code – NOT have those links?

FYI, I also have the anthropology link specifically plus three or four other major-subject web links, even tho none of them are my kid’s major.

Same - accept with same links. Also have reject, with the word “error” next to it.

I can’t figure out using Chrome on a Mac either.

Honestly, I’m not sure it means anything. I’ve been disappointed so far with portal astrology in general. Not that it isn’t a lot of fun!

Yes. And I don’t have any welcome or incoming language in the code, only accept and reject.

I don’t have any incoming or welcome language. Also class of doesn’t have a year. I think it’s a tell for those who have that language. We’ll know soon enough!

mine doesn’t have year either - but if you go to the linked sites there’s a message that says Class of 2029 information pages coming soon

Same. The links are there in the code, but to see “Class of 2029” you have to actually click them. But, again, is there anyone who is able to access this code who does NOT have these links? I also see random links for things like “grad student housing” etc etc that would seemingly have zero to do with secret, hidden, undergrad RD admissions clues. I suspect that this stuff is there for everyone… if you are able to find it.

I only have the incoming word with a link next to it, but I couldn’t find the word admitted . What does the admitted link look like for you?

Try searching for “accepted”

yes, I see the other random links too. It’s fun to guess what it all means - I hope we’ll know in about 24+ hours

Thanks. Now I can see a couple of links with the word accepted. Looks like everyone has these things.

Did anyone notice portal changes? I think some said their portal checklists had disappeared a couple of days ago. We still have the checklist, financial aid and withdraw button. Anyone else?

Yes, it was enjoyable initially, but I believe the schools have streamlined their process, rendering the old information inaccessible to newer applicants. As a therapist, I found small dosages of portal astrology fun, as it seemed like a healthy level of stress, regardless of the outcomes. My daughter enjoyed it as well, and we bonded and giggled over it. I enjoy solving clues, theories, and eliminating possibilities, but when all the leads lead nowhere, it becomes monotonous. I would have appreciated knowing if some applicants who had certain information on their portal that others didn’t were accepted, even if my daughter wasn’t. This added an element of excitement to the application process, but now it feels like a mere formality.

So I’m a bit of an AI nerd and ran the code through Grok. Here’s what it says about it. There’s more but this is the conclusion.

Does it indicate admission?

No, this script does not indicate admission in the sense of someone being accepted into a program or institution. The term “admission” in this context relates to the website (admissions.wfu.edu), which is likely the admissions section of Wake Forest University’s site. The script’s purpose is to track user behavior on that site—such as which pages are visited, buttons clicked, or videos watched—not to signify or process an admission decision.

I have the same links as everyone else. Sorry to be a bummer.

Do you expect admission decisions to be released 3/21 or 3/28?

But this information is still valuable. I advised my daughter to review each link or video in her portal and sign on whenever she visited a university’s website. I suspected that the school was tracking applicants’ online behaviors. However, she didn’t follow this advice for all schools and didn’t watch the UFL video from the president. I personally believe that this might have played a small role to her being waitlisted at her target school, the University of Florida. I don’t think it was the sole reason for the waitlist, as it didn’t negatively impact her statistics, but I do think it added to the process. I understand that UFL is highly competitive, and her SAT score is a 1400. However, up until then, she had been accepted to every public university with acceptance rates between 25-35%. On another note, she was waitlisted by the University of Chicago, despite their low acceptance rate. While they do waitlist many students, she clearly doesn’t meet the requirements. However she uploaded a significant amount of supplemental material and visited the website regularly. She also demonstrated interest in Wake Forest by participating in online forums, but she didn’t watch the videos in her portal until this week. The ironic thing is that UFL is one of her top three public university choices, while Wake Forest is among her top three private school choices. However, she spent more time on lower-tier or higher-tier websites. :woman_shrugging:t4: This little girl cracks me up, and I love her so much!
