Please also DM me. We’ve submitted our LOCI, and I believe my daughter did an excellent job. However, anything else that could be beneficial for Wake Forest or other universities would be greatly appreciated.
Regarding her T100ish ranking that she applied to, she has been accepted to four schools, but only one (in our state and the last of the T100s) offered a generous scholarship. For one school, we are still waiting on a summer start, but it’s a possibility. She has also been waitlisted to nine schools and denied to three others. One of the schools that initially offered deferred admission later denied admittance. We have four more schools remaining, and we believe she will be waitlisted for two and denied for two because those were her reach schools.
To get accepted but waitlisted by 11/20 schools speaks to how competitive this cycle is. There was something we missed in this cycle, but I’m not sure what it was. Was it requiring aid? The timing of our submission? Was it being too highly ranked for one school and just on the edge of making it for the other? We are however still grateful for the full-merit and honors scholarship she received, in-state.

I will say that Wake waitlists a lot of students. This year, they got nearly 20,000 applications. It’s just really tough.

Yes, it is! I think she would have done better if she applied EA.
EA was first generation only.

Wake only has EA for First Generation College Students. For all other applicants, it’s ED or RD.

For those waitlisted, Wake does usually go to the waitlist and on the earlier side so if it’s your student’s first choice, definitely stay on the waitlist.

An update that my daughter has decided to attend Wake! She was waiting on notification about the Presidential Scholarship in Dance and was notified on Tuesday that she was selected as one of the scholarship recipients, so that tipped the scales and she committed Tuesday night! She is so excited to attend Wake! Go Deacs!

They don’t release waitlist numbers, unfortunately. The RD acceptance numbers will be available soon.
