Yes, multiple times. They say that I’ll hear something within 10 weeks of my completed application. It’s just that everything was completed except the interview many weeks ago. Now, the interview has been done for 3 weeks. So, I’d like to know. If I don’t get into WF, I might have time to apply somewhere else ED-1, but only if WF actually lets me know within the next 15 days.
Most people seem to have been getting their results around the 4 week mark after everything was submitted. and WF says they don’t even eval ED1 apps until the interview is complete, so your 4 week countdown probably started after the interview. I bet you’ll hear next week. Goodluck !
Knowing within a week would be great.
Submitted my app (wake not Common) on 10/9, and all the boxes were marked completed the next morning. I had my interview in July, do you think I will hear back sooner since it was marked completed so early?
@cbowden12 I had my interview in June, and submitted everything else between then and Sept 22, I heard back Oct 8. My checks were all green right after I submitted my application. I think the average is 4 weeks right now but I am not sure if having all the checks will result in a quicker review
I had all my materials in on July 25th and I heard back August 22nd. I paid the enrollment deposit, but I’m just realizing there are other materials that need to be uploaded. I wanted to know if I should upload those materials now or wait until Wake starts reaching out to the new students. Thanks.
@cbowden12 I submitted the Application in late July and my HS got everything in by late August. My final green check was the interview, which was 3 weeks ago., and they checked that part green immediately. I still haven’t heard. So, if you go by my timeline, it doesn’t work. It may work better if they really want someone (athletics, URM, etc.).
Deferred. Not surprised.
what were your stats ?
ACT 35 (35 M, 35 S, 35 E, 33 R)
SAT 1460 (690 V, 770 M)
GPA (not good)
12 APs (of the AP grades received so far, I only had 4s & 3s. So, they weren’t great)
I was hoping my scores and ED would help me, but I’m not surprised.
@SlimJim001 i’m surprised you were deferred with a 35 ACT. Are you going to apply to another school ED or are you just going to wait for Wake in RD
Appl.y some place else ED 1 and ED 2.
@SlimJim001 Do you mind me asking specifically what your GPA was?
If my D has applied ED 1 with the common app, will she get notified on the Wake portal with a status change? Or only the letter in the mail. It has been four weeks today and no news.
A status change with a link to the acceptance letter was posted on the Wake portal the same day DS got his acceptance packet in the mail.
How many days did it take to get the notification. We are at 4 weeks…
From the date the application was complete it was just under four weeks.
There are no hard and fast rules on ED notification. Some have taken as little as 4 weeks and others much longer (and still were accepted).
The times definitely vary, I heard back in 2 weeks and was accepted
So all of you who applied early so far had an interview in person on campus? We have a D21 and we are visiting Wake in March. I feel like it’s too early for her to interview though. She won’t know if Wake is her favorite at the time of our visit. If she decides it’s number one over the summer, do we need to fly back to Wake to interview? Or do you all just suggest she interviews while there even though she really won’t be able to say that Wake is her favorite yet.
