Walking Dead 2014

No glen=no watch:(

It has to be a dream. He has made it out of way more difficult places…hop the fence…crawl along to top to a building roof! Come on. He can’t go with ketchup covered sausage links falling out of his guts…they can do better.

I fell asleep watching the episode last night. I thought I was just really tired, but when I re-watched it today, I realized I was just really bored. Sebastian was the most interesting character. I like character development as much as anyone, but there was nothing revealed last night about Morgan that had not already been revealed. They had better amp up the next episode.

I get that the writers needed an excuse for a man to have a jail cell built into his vacation cabin, but the story about the psychopath getting out, killing his family, and then being allowed to work outside is utterly preposterous. Think of something else…like maybe his wife and child got bit, so he built a cage to contain them until he finally realized they were truly gone. Anything but that a crazy confessed killer of a mother and two children would be allowed to work outside. Please.

Also, I do not understand how Morgan could meet two people who clearly needed help and allow them to walk back into the woods on their own when he knew there was a safe place, with water and solar power no less, that was soon going to be vacant.

It was cheap to sandwich the Morgan episode in after a cliffhanger like the preceding episode. And the whole episode was both weird (the psychopath prisoner who broke out of jail and then turned himself in - what?) and very predictable. No one who has carved out a life for themselves - farm, cabin in the woods, fortified town - is going to come out ahead after meeting our heros. Tabitha the goat and her owner getting bitten were a forgone conclusion as soon as Morgan made contact. It was clear there would be some martial arts training, and then Morgan would not be leaving these two in peace but getting them killed.

I noticed Steven Yuen’s name off the credits as well, however I predict it will return. I think we will see Glenn as a walker.

Yes, was it necessary to kill that character and his goat to further the story? Another incongruity — the martial arts expert who has survived all this time alone can’t avoid getting bitten against a lone walker?? It would have been a nice positive twist to this story if we saw Morgan and bald guy striking off on their journey, but then encountering the couple in the woods and the other guy leading them back to his place for refuge while Morgan decides to go on alone.

Omg I had no idea there was a Walking Dead thread on CC  I was really disappointed that they killed Eastman, I really liked his character.

Eastman = Red Shirt Dude on the old Star Trek series.

He was toast from his opening scene. In fact, when he came on the creen, I said to my husband, “The only question now is if the goat dies, too.”

Eastman had to die to save Morgan; it’s part of the biblical allegory of the story. Now it’s Disciple Morgan, out spreading the word of peace.

If you are going to talk allegory, is Glen a Christ figure? I am still a little fixated on that final scene of all the walkers merging on him, drinking from him.

Of course, that is pretty much the show: undead drinking from the living.

adding: and before he dies Eastman tells Morgan they are taking a trip. “where?” Morgan asks, and Eastman just looks all zen cryptic at him.

Maybe there will be a Walker version of Glenn soon.

Nicholas wasn’t out of bullets.

Not a very eventful episode tonight. Poor Tovah Feldshuh, way too short to reach that walker’s head. She needed a ladder. I did like the scenes with Maggie and her new gay best friend Aaron encountering those disgusting sewer walkers, and with Denise and Tara. Rick and Jessie, not so much.

^^Lol, @DonnaL I kept yelling at her, “jump, jump! You have to get his head!”
I really like Tovah F. and I hope she’s on the show for a long time. She is such a great actress and a very interesting character with a lot of potential.

@Joblue I kind of think Deanna is an idiot lol

Sasha and Abraham…hmmm.

What happened with Abraham and Rosita?

In what world do you pick Sasha over Rosita. In what f***ing world, Abraham.

Oh yeah, and apparently that was Glenn’s voice on the walkie talkie at the very end, but I’m not so convinced.

Reports are that it was not Glenn’s voice, but that it could be related to Glenn’s situation.

Norman Reedus says it’s not Glenn’s voice on the walkie talkie (although he could be blowing smoke). Honestly, at the time I thought it was the guy/girl who stole Daryl’s bike and crossbow.

Daryl without his crossbow - :open_mouth:
