Total cop-out. I’m sorry I stayed up to watch.
I’m sorry I stayed up to read tweets!! Tomorrow I’m making myself a list of possibilities.
Very stupid cliffhanger. At least they didn’t show the beating. Believe or not, I don’t like violence.
I can’t stand the violence either. Just reading recaps kept me tossing and turning all night. Walking Dead may be too much for me next season.
That is the reason I haven’t watched all the episodes in all the seasons. I didn’t watch the cannibal season. I just read the plot summaries and fast forwarded a few places that didn’t make sense to me reading it on-line.
My hope is that Fear stays less violent. Fingers crossed.
I think it will be someone who was in the box based on the POV shots throughout the episode and then the POV shot at the end.
I don’t mind a cliffhanger. Reminds me of who shot JR. I think this cliffhanger would have had greater impact if we hadn’t had the one with Glenn earlier.
I almost bypassed attending an event that my boss gave to stay home and watch. So glad I didn’t. We TiVo’d it and stayed up late to watch it to prevent spoilers. Terrifying episode, though, with the constant roadblocks. Looking forward to the Morgan/Carol storyline with the Knights in Shining Armor.
A cliffhanger only works if you aren’t expecting it, like a twist. In this case, is was a whole lot of build up, for nothing.
I do like the Knights. I don’t read the comics, so they are a surprise to me. I hope they are nice.
Still think Neagan killed Abraham. Nothing says time to die like contemplating having a family (at least on walking dead). We know it’s not Rick or Carl, based on the remarks about gouging out Carl’s other eye (ick)
I enjoyed the episode, but wasn’t thrilled about the cliffhanger. I think Jeffrey Dean Morgan is perfect for that part. He scared me! I know who was killed in the comics, but it could be a different person.
At this point, I could care less who Neagan kills. My heart was breaking for Maggie with every roadblock they encountered. I’m more vested in seeing her get the care she needs. Hoping also that Carol and Morgan can find sanctuary with this new group.
I’m really frustrated with myself for eagerly anticipating this season finale. I think that everyone knew that Negan would appear in this episode and kill someone with “Lucille” so failing to reveal who that was by the end essentially means that they spent 90 minutes meandering around and accomplishing nothing.
I’m glad Carol and Morgan have survived and reconciled and have found (presumably) safe haven for now. I wonder if I’ll even care who died by the time the next season starts.
But wasn’t it Carl? It looked like someone with only one eye was looking at Negan. I though Andrew Lincoln did a great job of acting like someone in great fear, disbelief and despair. I’m glad we’re at the finale. This season has been good but very tense. It’s time for a 6 month break.
So, should we start a new thread for Fear the Walking Dead? I’m glad there will be a Talking Dead for this show. Been enjoying that more than the episodes lately.
We DVRed the finale during our vacation and finally watched it last night. I’m 90% sure that we’re losing the mullet, Eugene. During the eeney meeney miney moe sequence, they showed all the other characters (including Carl and Glenn) third person and only one with a first person through-the-lens view. The missing character was Eugene.
I don’t think it is Eugene. He isn’t all that important to the group. It has to be someone who’s death will affect Rick.
The play, Eclipsed, written by Danai Gurira (Michonne) was nominated for a Tony award today in the Best Play category!
spoilers ahead
I have really enjoyed the last two episodes of Fear, much better than recent episodes of Walking Dead. I liked Strand’s back story. I really enjoy Nick’s character, so almost recklessly fearless, but safe because of cool calculation. Sort of like Michonne? Piracy was an interesting idea, to me, when the world is ending. After this, will this group all agree they are a closed group and protect themselves from outsiders with deadly force without hesitation? Or will Jack get to join the group when they rescue Alicia and Travis?
I see Alex as a future pirate Queen. I can’t blame her if she shows no mercy to our group. Will Jake survive?
Is this the first show with zombies on the ocean?
Am I the only one still interested in Fear the Walking Dead, which started up again last night?
I loved the episode. I love the different approach (at least to me?) this show is taking to the undead.
and I just finished “Zone One”, a zombie novel by Colson Whitehead, whose “Underground Railroad” is currently on the best seller list. I recommend it to those interested in the genre.
I like the back story information where we see Gloria (Lexi Johnson) in rehab with Nick.
I’m watching. Wonder how long it will take Nick to get to where Shane and then Rick ended up. He’s the only really interesting character on the show however.
I thought it was an excellent episode, one of the best, in my opinion. Nick is an interesting character and to have an entire episode focussed on him, while probably a risk, works very well. The tension was evident, as always, but it wasn’t because of the constant appearance of the dead. I liked it a lot.
