<p>It seems that the director of the common app has been fired. When I read about this, he blamed his problems on the implementation. One piece of information that I found is that the common app was implemented by Hobson’s, the “parent” of College Confidential. </p>

<p>I did not. Kind of interesting that the CC revamp also has mucho, mucho problems.</p>

My kids didnt use the common app, but it sounds like they had similar server problems.
Im still having problems with the new CC site as well.
Definitely not on it as much as previous.</p>
<p>I didn’t realize this. Of course, I never stopped to think about who runs and owns CC. </p>
<p><em>raises hand</em> I didn’t know either. I’m still trying to find my way around the new CC. I hate to ask stupid questions so I’m fumbling around. I guess the positive side is that I’m not on it as much.</p>
<p>That’s right – the new CC is a productivity app. It is so annoying that you spend less time her and thus can be more productive? :)</p>
<p>Anyone noticed the new CC “jail” avatars? Heard from another poster who’s got one and who is now on “Level 9” warning – but doesn’t have an idea about what she did/failed to do. At CC, jail comes for you!</p>
<p>So much I dont like about this " new & improved" site compared to the old " outdated" one.
No post numbers
Cant tell if Ive posted on a thread before.
Can’t report spam.
Can’t delete a post.
Keeps logging me out.
The " social media" links make me feel like my privacy is invaded.
Members names are way too small.
Font is too small.
Hate the red when you correct a post.
Hate the yellow.
Usability is even more limited on phone.
The mods that were keeping us apprised of " improvements, and responding to feedback, seem to have vamoosed.
Smilies are so small you cant even tell what they are supposed to be & the animation is childish.</p>

<p>Improvements are coming! I’m grateful for the “First” and “Last” tabs that joined the arrows at the bottom of a thread for mobile users. </p>
<p>Not on my phone.
There are arrows for pages of the * board*, but not for individual threads unless you have it bookmarked.</p>
<p>Probably responsible for the Obamacare website too…

<p>This was brought up in the early days of our “new and improved” (sarcasm 
) CC by a few. I think it kind of got buried in the massive amounts of posts though. </p>
<p>Actually I know who is running the Obamacare website & they aren’t connected with CC.
