I watch sporadically and missed this week, but 14 year old D2 adores the show, so I hear every plot twist and turn from her. She is still trying to recover from watching Rachel blow her NYATA (sp?) audition!

I also had a negative reaction to the Quinn storyline. I like that Glee takes teen issues (like bullying) seriously, and taking on texting and driving was admirable. But IMO, they could have done more. After showing what was obviously meant to be a devastating accident, having Quinn bounce back SO quickly (and beautifully), use the wheelchair as a ploy, etc. was disappointing. Not that every single story line has to nag or teach a lesson, but I think the dangers of texting were dismissed too quickly.

Me, too. Especially because one of the recurring characters is the GC.

I remember one episode of House where the main sick person of the week had his attack while taking an AP exam…and from the outdoor shots, it was very evident that it was not May! C’mon, how about 2 minutes of “research” on Google.

Taking on texting and driving was admirable? The whole point of Quinn in the wheelchair was to show what might happen if you text and drive. It showed how hard her rehabilitation was.

Quinn gave up being Prom Queen, so she didn’t use the wheelchair as a ploy.

rTo be honest, I’m kind of angry about it. I thought it was good, up until Kurt and Rachel got their letters. I’m a big Kurt fan, and he never gets to triumph, and he killed his audition and got praise for it, while Rachel messed hers up in more ways than one. (Kurt’s audition showed that Carmen liked risk takers, and Rachel would have been playing it very safe even if she hadn’t forgotten lyrics).

So the lesson we get out of this is that Rachel can stalk and harass the admissions person and persuade the team to build a Nationals setlist just to showcase her to make her look good and that gets her in? And Kurt who did everything right the first time but was barely a part of the Nationals performance got shoved aside and then got no resolution.

And there are other characters who are graduating and we don’t even really know what they’re doing. I guess we have a lot of cliffhangers. I don’t think people like Mercedes and Mike will be returning for more than an episode or two so it would have been nice for them to get their moments.

Also, Ryan Murphy was trending on twitter last night because most of the fandom was furious with him. People who liked Finchel together were really angry that he’d break them up and people who don’t like them were angry that they took over the episode.

would have liked to see Mike dance and hear Mercedes sing - however, almost all seniors have a boy/girlfriend left behind so there are avenues to pop back in

I don’ know about you guys but I am not liking the direction that they took Darren Criss in this season. He was so classy, mature and confident when he was at the private school but this year with Kurt (at public) his character acts wimpy, insecure, immature and dresses eccentrically. He has lost all his universal appeal IMO.

I thought that Rachel was going to be back next season. Does this mean that she drops out of college or transfers back? It is hard to believe that they will use her much from the sidelines. Maybe a spin off?

Also, what was with the graduation ceremony? They couldn’t even call the kids up in alphabetical order like every US high school? And Quinn, they have her going to Yale but she doesn’t get any academic honors or gold cords or even a gold tassel (and there were some grads on stage wearing gold tassels)!!! I know I am too picky about this but hey, I am the parent of a 2012 grad!

I think that they are doing a split show between Lima and New York next year.

I still really like Blaine but I also don’t see it as that inconsistent really. Last year he thought singing a song about sex toys to a guy significantly older than him in that guy’s workplace was a good idea and he was terrified to go to Prom. And the last time he was at public school he actually got physically beaten up for being gay. I think he likes to put on a public/performance persona but underneath that, he’s insecure and doesn’t know what he’s doing, and I think we saw that last year, too.

Absolutely! This was so disappointing. I know that it sometimes works this way in real life, but I was hoping that things would go Kurt’s way rather than in favor of (the totally annoying) Rachel. I’m glad the ridiculous wedding plan is off, though.

I think in general the show has gone way downhill. Honestly I don’t know if I will even bother watching next season.

I am pretty tired of Rachel and really wish they’d focus on the new kids they brought in and, presumably, will bring in after this upcoming season of The Glee Project.

And I agree, Kurt not getting in and then nothing else being said about what his character will do (beyond everyone in the cast cheerfully seeing Rachel off…good grief) was pretty annoying.

Oh well. I imagine I will watch at least at first to see where they take this…

I thought that Finn’s character did the only reasonable thing, I just couldnt imagine them getting married this young or him in New York. My daughter was upset/angry, but I thought it was just life…

I agree with some the annoyance. But I do think it realistic that Rachelcwould get in and Kurt not. Lea Michele is a more talented and versatile performer and schools like that are only concerned with product. My biggest beef is that so many of the musical selections were drippy and bad. I did find it interesting and believable that Finn would join the army given the unfinished business with his father. And in this economy it is the only option for so many young people who want jobs not school.

But the most ridiculous thing is that they all only applied to one NYC school and got notified after graduation. But the intent, I think, is to explore the difficulties if the entertainment industry. In that world Rachel’s singleminded approach is more celebrated than other places.
