LEO son has a ballistic plate that fits in a backpack pocket. He carries that backpack in his ambulance when he volunteers. If he runs into trouble he would wear that backpack backwards, so it sits on the front of his torso. He’s a tactical medic, so he can enter “hot” and “warm” zones in dangerous situations, unlike regular EMTs and paramedics.

i purchased the $0.99/month Hulu Black Friday deal yesterday. It’s for both new and returning. Returning is defined as not having had Hulu in past 30 days. As Marilyn notes, you can sign up with different email, if you have had Hulu in past 30 days.
I also signed up for 2 months free (no commercials) on Crunchyroll. I may also try the $2.99 HBO Max deal for a couple months, to catch up the new season of shows I like, and check out some new ones like The Penguin.
Yesterday I signed up for the $2.99 Hulu/Disney offer using husband’s second email (apparently he had once used his primary email for something to do with ESPN). Unfortunately I will have one month overlap (my account had just renewed at $10.99) but still nets out less.
Reading the small print, I realized that the offer was good for returning subscribers if it had been more than 30 days since they canceled. So I could have used my first email! At least I’m good for the next two years of offers with my two emails!

What a great idea! I love to buy useful and wanted presents. My 7-year old GS schooled me on level 1-4 vests. I wonder what percentage of departments allow non-issued vests.

Good question. He uses the agency issued plates, but he’s free to purchase whatever vest he wants. The one the agency issues is too bulky apparently. I said “doesn’t that bulk help with stopping bullets?” What do I know. LOL!

Anybody find a good laptop deal? HP, Dell or Lenovo? Sister is in desperate need but she knows nothing about computers. Her computer is a security hazard waiting to happen and I can’t seem to make her understand. Willing to just buy her one but not sure if black friday is going to be much of a savings.
Does Spotify ever give discounts for a Spotify Premium Family account? I can only find a discount for single users.
Ha, I just ordered two construction (feet and inches) calculators on Amazon for DH and me. All day long, I’m adding dimensions like 5’-7 3/16" and 18’-11 7/8." Why the heck didn’t I buy one 20 years ago?? Oh, well, better late than never.

More than any other Black Friday in recent memory. I am not seeing good deals on items I want to buy. I purchased the $1/month Hulu deal. I am considering the $3/month HBO Max deal as well, even though this is a higher price than the $2/month I paid during the last time I had HBO Max.
Otherwise, I have been largely disappointed. One of the areas I was hoping to see deals is gift cards. For example, last BF Carl’s Jr had 50% off gift cards. Some other places I shop also had 30%+ type off gift cards. This year, I’m not seeing anything worth buying, besides the same degree of discount that is offered all year round.
I am planning to replace my winter coat this season. I waited for BF, hoping to see a discount – no discounts in area stores on what I’d like to buy.
I am also looking at cars. While some dealerships have small discounts for BF, no discounts on what I’d like to buy.
There is an item I’d like to buy on eBay . No eBay discounts or special BF coupons this year.
I’d like to buy some pet items. I can get better deals without BF discounts (BF coupon code cannot be stacked with alternatives).
Looking at general best BF deal type lists or highest rated deals on SlickDeals, I am not impressed. I see deals like this pop up at different times throughout the year. This makes BF just another day for me. If I happen to see a good deal on something I like, I may buy it, and those good deals may occur many times throughout the year, including both BF and seemingly random other times during year.

I’m looking for a fleece lined headband to be used in the winter. DD wants something with fun colors. I did get her a charcoal grey one yesterday, but that’s not fun colors. She would wear the fleece lined one a LOT…she had one that got lost at a ski area.
Any ideas? Not ones with ear flap shapes!
