What are you doing today?

No Kings rally in my town this morning: 10 am - noon. Went with two friends to the Town Common. There were probably 100-150 people there, which is a great turnout for our small town.

It may have been in the 30s with a wc in the lows 20s this morning, but I’m just about finished switching out my wardrobe. The stretches of 80s seem longer in between the 30s and I have time today. Never did I ever think H would go to a rally, but off he went with a friend. Until somewhat recent years, he was a diehard republican. I didn’t go. Not my thing, and my workplace prefers we are neutral publicly. But I whole heartedly support anyone who goes. Hoping to do the stairmonster on Monday.

I did my first workout in a few days - just bike, upper body and mobility. I wound up taking yesterday off. My foot just didn’t seem good enough and I didn’t want to set it back. It improved a lot yesterday. Good call. This morning I really only feel it if I poke at it or spread my toes wide - but yet wearing toe separator socks feels amazing. It looks slightly bruised but the swelling is almost gone

Then I practiced piano while h was at the gym. Later, we will go to the big city for dinner - Mellow Mushroom

Cleaning the house and laundry this morning. We will walk to the beach later in the afternoon. Thinking of having a wine and cheese night on the deck for dinner.

No kings rally. Did not go to the “big one” although I could have gotten a ride with several friends. I went to a smaller one closer to home. There were a lot of people!

Set up beef stroganoff in my crockpot before I left, so that’s dinner,

I’ll read and try to call a friend I haven’t talked to in awhile. That’s all.

No rally for me today; we’d already rsvp’d to an event in OR. :frowning:

Tasting wine with paired snacks, then probably lunch somewhere, followed by another winery.

It’s a beautiful day in the PNW.

Bridge waving and local No Kings rally.

A CC angel helped me with a difficult task and discovered connections previously unknown.

Our synagogue building buyer has ok’d the purchase agreement as it stands, so tonight I’ll send it to the board.

Propagated pothos clippings from a mother plant whose vines went bald in the middle. Trying a couple of methods to see what is easiest and/or fastest/most successful. Need to repot some other things, which I may or may not accomplish today.

Avoiding lots of other tasks.

I’m so happy your CC angel was able to connect with you.

CC is full of the nicest people :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

H & I had lunch at a very old-fashioned family owned fish & chips restaurant. It’s in an area of town that has seen better days, and the clientele is a real hodgepodge of humanity. It’s always a treat to walk through the doors and be greeted by the waitresses who have been there for years. The fish & chips were amazing. The best part was paying for our meal - the matriarch of the family sits at the cash register, and she has a great sense of humor. It was such a pleasant lunch experience.

That sounds amazing! It is hard for me to pass up if a menu has a good fish and chips on it.

Usual morning routine followed by farmer’s market (whole bag of sweet potatoes for $3! Watermelon radishes I use for a bright appetizer w/dip on Easter!), taxes signed and delivered, picked up some organic soil and potting soil to use as we work outside.

Then worked outside for awhile doing some yard clean-up. Just the tip of the iceberg. Making oven tostadas and guacamole for dinner. And some crispy sweet potato wedges!

OMG, I totally forgot we were having a new washer/dryer delivered today! When I walked into the laundry room from the garage after my delightful long lunch with friends, there was DH smiling and pointing to the new unit! He told me he had even swept, washed, and bleached the floor after the installers removed the old units, so I could be assured that there wasn’t a speck of dirt or dust underneath or behind the new one!!! This is wife porn in my house, definitely a cocktail worthy event this evening.

What kind of washer/dryer did you get?

LG WashTower in black. We’re getting the same unit in white for the cabin. It’s a stacked, single unit, which I prefer for its sleek profile and space efficiency.

I took pics of this same unit at Lowe’s I think. Hope it’s a winner.

Woke up to an unusual dream where neighbors down the street offered us their 9200 square foot house for free because they were moving. I walked through most of the house, including what was called a library on the floor plan (yes, I looked at a floor plan taped to a wall during the dream) but turned out to be an indoor event venue. The walls were heavily decorated with multiples of the same object (like stuffed animals in the kids room). I thought, I don’t want to clean this house. I woke just after I asked husband what he thought of the idea of taking their house and he said he hadn’t had time to think about it. As I was waking, I thought, what would the property taxes be?

No idea where that dream came from!

Other than that, husband asked if I’d like to go out for breakfast, which I always am, so went to Fig Tree in Liberty Station where they added a few banquettes to their outdoor tables. Very happy because I had a place to put my purse.

Then home, read the paper, did some cleaning. Later we had a call from Seattle son who decided to try out the new light rail line across Mercer Island all the way to Redmond, just to see what it was like. He got to ride " the world’s first light rail line operating on a floating bridge" on the first day. Busy because there were also No Kings rallies, a Mariners game tonight, some festival at Seattle Center, and more. So busy!

There was a local No Kings rally but I had to work all day. It was a beautiful, sunny day but very brisk temps.

We were crazy busy at work today, barely had a chance to sit down and eat lunch. At least it makes the day go by quickly!

Dh is out of town and I was exhausted after being on my feet all day so just picked up dinner on my way home. Took my dog on a quick walk when I got home. S25 is here with his GF watching March Madness. I’m not invested this year as my coworker who usually organizes our pool dislocated his elbow and was out for several days last week. None of my teams made it anyway so I haven’t really paid attention.

I’m getting ready to head upstairs to watch the last episodes of a show I’ve been watching on BritBox. I’m just hoping I don’t doze off as I really want to finish it tonight!

Went to the local No Kings March with two friends and we had a good time. Some cute signs.

I couldn’t put together my new deck furniture; it really requires two people – one to hold and one to screw. So I’ll need to tackle DH and get him to help me.

Relaxed in the afternoon, then went out to an Asian place with DS. We were supposed to go to an Indian restaurant but it was closed due to a family emergency.

It was a very nice day!

Got up before dawn to make the drive to Fort Worth for the women’s March Madness. UT won, and we will face Michigan on Monday. Yes, we already bought tix for that game, too. I am confident in this team! We had so much fun. Then met my siblings and nephew for dinner and then to my sister’s house to spend the night. I’m tired!

Last day on our vacation visiting DS. We are having brunch with our former neighbors who relocated here. We have seen them on just about every trip here since they moved.

Then tonight, DS is hosting a pizza party at his place so we can meet some of his friends here. We have visited here at least 11 times and this is a first! We are excited to meet these friends who we have heard about.

I woke up this morning after sleeping 8.5 hrs. I typically sleep 7-7.5 hrs and normally a night owl, but last night could not keep my eyes open. Alas, I did not finish the last episode of the show I was watching - had only 20 mins to go. Got my dog fed and took her outside to relieve herself then made a cup of coffee, and finished my tv show. I then did some strength training for 30 minutes and folded laundry while talking to dh who is driving back from the beach.

I took my dog for an hour walk and was a little underdressed. It’s still a bit chilly here, mainly because it was very breezy. The wind was whipping right thru my lightweight sweatshirt. The sun was shining brightly tho and the wind was at my back for the last third of the walk.

I had a late breakfast/early lunch of avocado toast with scrambled egg. Dh called from Sams Club where he was stopping for a few things and should have been home a while ago. He said he was also getting gas, so I think the line at Sams must be crazy and that is what is delaying him!

He leaves again tomorrow night for two weeks so I’m now putting together a meal plan for myself while he’s gone. He usually makes dinner since he works from home. I need to figure out some easy meals for one or I’ll be eating cheese and crackers every night!
