I enjoy winter and prefer cooler rather than hotter. But there comes a point in mid-May when it’s just plain time to ditch the winter coat, hat & gloves! But hey, no snow!

I went into work 30 mins early to try to get a headstart on something I needed to finish today, only to have my boss talk to me the entire time so I didn’t accomplish anything! Then was so busy I had a standing lunch at the computer b/c I didn’t have time for a break! 
Dh made enchiladas for dinner and D21 made guacamole to go with it. I just booked her plane ticket to Chicago at the end of May. She is moving from her 2 bedroom apt to a 3 bedroom apartment upstairs and needs to be out of her current apt by June 5th. She was studying abroad spring semester and had a friend subleasing her room, so D21 hasn’t been there since December. I can’t believe after 22 years of paying tuition (my kids all went to private school), this will be our last semester of paying tuition!
I’m about to order a birthday gift for D27 then I’m going try to finish the book I’m reading!

Some spring cleaning, laundry. Ants in the windowsill! Paperwork. Car maintenance. Counting down to D22’s graduation next week. If it’ll be rainy, the outdoor ceremony could be moved to the next night.

Cleaning the dishwasher filter. (So exciting! What a life I lead!!) Picking up a book on hold for me at the library. Calling the doctor’s office since I got a letter he’s retiring; I want to know about the appointment I have for next February. Calling the dentist’s office because the latest bill I got from them is ridiculous. I don’t expect anything to come from it, but I do want to express my – surprise? Shock?? Folding laundry.
Again, another wild and crazy day in the life of VeryHappy. Aren’t you all jealous?

I need to clean the dishwasher filter! I never needed to before this one. But it sort of stinks after washing, and I suspect that’s the reason. But as I’ve never done it, and don’t particularly want to figure it out, I keep procrastinating.
My day is less exciting. I am enjoying my rest day during the work week. I realized I have worked out M-F for over 25 years! It used to be the weekends were rest days because of all the kids stuff. I “slept in” until 5:00 lol. But that gives me time to talk to H before he leave at 5:50. And then I did a lot of Duolingo and an hour of piano. I seem to play very well at 6:30am. Good thing the house next door is empty.
Now I’m at work. Nothing exciting should be on tap today. We shall see if that changes. After work, I will likely walk the loop with H. We did not go yesterday. Then out for our fast food night, followed by an hour of TV.

In addition to cleaning the filter, it’s important to clean the spray arms. Mine are usually clear, but one time they were clogged - that was the time I discovered that I should be cleaning the filter regularly.
I use this about once a month and while it doesn’t take care of the filter it does leave my machine SPARKLING. And smells great (clean) afterwards

I’m at the art gallery this morning. Then tonight I have a watercolor class. DH is in Maine enjoying @ChoatieMom weather preference. It’s damp and cold here but next week it’s supposed to be in the 90s. Crazy weather.

I was actually thinking about note cards. If I get greeting cards made (blank inside) I can sell them at this gallery. I need to check the cost!

Yesterday we caught overnight ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm with our own cabin for each couple. It was a very smooth ride and we had a nice buffet smorgasbord for dinner.
Today we had a tour of city hall, where they have the banquet for nobel recipients and also the history museum.
We’ve been having great time, even if it is a bit tiring.

Today was beautiful! Sunny and it got up to 60! The sun is a glorious thing!
Walked the trail.
My husband went to his mother’s to do some handyman work. I enjoyed the beautiful day.
Cleaned some closets, cleaned out an old file cabinet. Did a ton of laundry.
I’ve been watching YouTube’s on 7-11’s in Japan. Made me hungry for egg salad sandwiches so I made one for lunch

I’m reviewing paint cards because husband finally agreed it was time to paint the front door (he said it could be my next craft project). Currently deciding between Behr Longmeadow and Forest Edge.
So far I only have the Longmeadow card and it’s lighter than my screen shows here. And lighter than the part of the door that doesn’t get hit by the sun. But I think I like lighter.
