What are you streaming on Netflix these days?

Janeway was the best captain ever! Dark Shadows…David Selby, be still my heart. :)

How campy Dark Shadows must look to us now! It was campy back then.
Watched North and South based on many CCer’s recommendations- glad it was only four episodes.
Fun seeing “Mr Bates” from Downton Abbey as union organizer.

TV and Netflix do not have good choices…everything that I like gets cancelled, it is getting progressively more and more boring, samo, samo, and even news are not news any more,…by the time I am at home (less than 15 min. in a car from work), I already know all of the news from the radio…TV is just on to have a human voice at home while I am doing something. Absolutely nothing… empty.

College_query - thanks for the ** Arrested Development ** recommendation. Am stuck at home recovering from surgery and started watching it on Netflix two days ago. It’s hilarious. There was an announcement today that the cast has come together and pre-production is underway for ‘a series revival’ (whatever that means) on Netflix. Can’t believe the series was cancelled after only 3 seasons.

Here’s the article on Arrested Development:

[“Arrested Development”: Entire cast is back, writers working on new season - Celebrity Circuit - CBS News](<a href=“http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-57369197-10391698/arrested-development-entire-cast-is-back-writers-working-on-new-season/]"Arrested”>http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-57369197-10391698/arrested-development-entire-cast-is-back-writers-working-on-new-season/)

Om. Y. Darrrrrrrrk Shadowssssss!!! Help me lawd. We used to gather the whole neighborhood to watch that. What was the show where whatsername came back from the you know where??? Is it available streaming? Oy!

Does that mean you didn’t like it?!?

^^ Consolation - I did like North and South and very glad for the historical value, but glad it wasn’t several seasons, like MAD MEN, which took so long to get caught up. I didn’t realize it was only one season, four episodes.
I don’t think the acting was comparable to Downton Abbey, and the mother who didn’t seem to move her lips when she spoke annoyed me so much.
I’d recommend it!

If you didn’t catch the first season of Being Human (U.S. version) on TV, it is now available on Netflix. I didn’t think I’d like another take on vampires, werewolves and ghosts but I was pleasantly entertained. I’m following the second season on TV but all those commercials are really annoying.

Thanks for the Arrested Development link, MomLive! Glad you are enjoying it. I guess I can believe it was cancelled, because I was oblivious that it even existed until December 2011!

Dr. Who, of course! Now half way through the first season of the 10th Doctor.

I knew I should have cancelled Netflix when I couldn’t find anything I wanted to watch! Now thanks to this thread I am hooked on Downton Abbey, although since I watched all 7 episodes of the first season in the last three days I guess Netflix isn’t going to help me with that show anymore.

On Episode 9 of “Lie to me” really enjoying it.
