“Is she really going out with him” was an Anthem one summer in middle school or high school. Lol
For a car road trip or a day a day at the beach or beach party. Squeeze works great. Pulling mussels from a Shell. Black coffee in bed. Tempted. Etc

Is She Really Going Out with Him?—So true!
How about just women? I had Linda Rondstadt on my first post…but added Bonnie Raitt. What about Carole King, Carly Simon…great composers as well as performers. Diana Ross, Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton (come on…who doesn’t like Jolene?), Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Mary Travers.
My son teaches a history of rock and roll course…and I told him…he could do a whole course on women in popular music. I think it would be terrific!

Have Beach Boys been discussed? God Only Knows, Good Vibrations … I’ll bet a greatest hits album would work pretty well on a road trip.
Crosby Stills Nash (and Young)? Suite Judy Blue Eyes is among the best.
Beach Boy’s Pet Songs is an amazing album that I only truly appreciated as I got older.
Nope. Little deuce coop. Awesome.
Surfer girl still can give me a strange pang of longing and not sure what for. Youth ? New love ? Reminding me of wanting a girlfriend at that time and having none.
