^I know, I was just thinking that xD

@Pastel, yes, send in the post-deferral letter. Many college counselors recommend it. Last year, a girl here was deferred from Wharton, sent in a deferral letter telling them it was still her dream school and got in RD (not saying the letter was the cause, but just that it doesn’t hurt).

I just signed up and filled out the about me section and it asks for gender, I wish it would show up under the location section in the little info box to the left of this.

I also think it’s funny that one of the options for gender is “unsure”.

me too!

And I swear, on the supplements for one of my college apps, in the section where it asks for gender, one of the options was “unsure.” I can’t remember which one it was for, though…princeton? idk. I just remember that it made me laugh. a lot.

Not when it helps you get into Princeton. Or Harvard. Or Yale.

I think I was browsing the RD Decision threads on one of HYP’s boards, and somebody got accepted when he/she wrote about how he/she was unsure of gender in the essay, and that really stood out or something? I think they also put “to be decided” on the Gender bullet.

Yeah, kinda weird but ya gotta admit, it really is for some people I guess.

That’s nicely phrased. I think someday I’m going to borrow your words to post on this other thread that I came across this afternoon:

by the way, Stupefy, your screen name is epic.

My bad Stupefy. I know you’re a girl.

S’okay, Christian.

Haha why thank you. I have receieved numerous compliments about it
just goes to show you how popular HP is.

Aha! I got my gender to show up!

Sac Valley? Me too. Whereabouts in Sac Valley?

Chico. You?

Elk Grove.

two questions

1-Did anyone else do women’s colleges on this board?
2-Would it be nuts to send a deferral letter of “thanks, but if you didn’t want me in EA, I don’t want you in RD” I mean…it’s completely true. I would never have attended regardless-it was just my reach school and a deferral made me happpy enough.

rocket6louise - I imagine that a lot of people do that, but I would recommend not doing it. I mean, you never know what you’re going to think in April. Or for graduate school.

no…i’m pretty sure I want nothing to do with yale.

^When you get your acceptance letter in April, you may not think the same anymore.

Still, though, be classy
Trust me, when Stanford rejected me, I was trying to cause global warming so that it would go underwater. But then I rethought it and decided that I wanted to maintain my professionalism.

Stanford has to send out a lot of rejection letters to you in order for you to burn enough of those to cause global warming.

They didn’t even send me one. You have to request them to send you one. And I was like, “No thank you.”

So I was just going to go buy a factory. Thank God I’ve moved passed that stage.

Still, factories are boring. Burning rejection letters is way cooler.
