I am interested in finding out what kids hate/love most about PE class. What did you dread most? What was really funny? Tell your story! Thanks!

Hate: it’s required.
Love: depending on the people around you, it can be pretty fun / a nice break from school.

Hate: It’s a waste of time and I don’t learn a thing.
Love: Some pretty hilarious things happen.

I love how my gym teacher is senile. We have convinced him that we already had ran the mandatory mile and made up different times. We don’t have to change (I’ll wear jeans and sandals sometimes), and most people come up from the locker room half-way through class. In gym, we play tennis, badminton, ping pong, and golf. If we ever play something like softball, everyone hides in the dugout while random kids in study play for us! He used to let us go to the “dirt room” (storage space) and “practice our high jumps” for track. Instead, we would just nap on the mats. :)

Oh, and my grade has to only take gym freshman and sophomore year. Starting with this year’s freshman, every grade below my grade must take gym for all four years!

Not too much I could hate about this…

Hate: ■■■■■■■■ kids in P.E., I don’t do anything, it’s required
Love: when the stupid people do stupid things. once this really stupid idiot did something to himself and had a seizure. the helicopter had to come. it was funny…

HATE: Running days, bad smell, and annoying to-be-dropouts.
LOVE: Ultimate Frisbee, power volleyball, and weightlifting.

Hate: Smelly locker room
Love: Ping-pong, badminton, ultimate frisbee

Hate: It’s required, the swimming, gross locker rooms, most of everything
Love: Always getting picked first in 10th grade despite lack of athletic ability, free days, sexist gym teacher meant we girls could just stand around and talk

Love: I’m getting college credit for it, and it’s going to be a bowling class.
Hate: I don’t know if they’ll even offer the bowling class, and it will probably be expensive.

Love being outside and getting a workout in.

I HATE when we run the mile in Gym. I usually go around 7 flat and everyone is like “OMG it’s gym class take it easy. This ain’t a track meet.”

I feel really awkward saying something along the lines of “it was easy. I know it’s not a track meet because I run about 2 and a half minutes faster on race days”. Awkward and makes me look arrogant when i’m just trying to blend in

Hah, so was ours. He would fall asleep, and people would throw stuff like volleyballs at him to wake him up.

Hate: I was always at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Hate: I sat my ass on the bleachers the whole semester and got a 99–class was an epic waste of time.
Hate: My PE coach checked all the girls out.
Love: Um…

Love: That marching band is my PE credit

Hate: well im not in PE… so whats to HATE!! but in jr. high… hated the smelll… the idiots… and the locker room

I’m missing the part that youre supposed to hate

Of course its an easy class and you get an easy A but a break from regular classes is refreshing

love: i like sport and physical activity. it’s fun
hate: our school system tries to turn it into an academic class by making us take tests on bull-scheisse “fitness” things and on the “sports” we do.
find hilarious: to be politically correct and non-bullying, my county’s school system banned dodgeball. apparently it gives rise to kids being big big meanies.
so in HS, they had us play “avoid the sphere.”

i kid you not.

Hate: That I have it first period every MWF and that I’ve had it first period MWF every year since 7th grade. -_-.
Love: My gym teacher is cool and supports me even though I fail at every sport… And when he gives us free play I get to play badminton with my friends. Oh but it does suck that there are only 5 juniors and then a whole bunch of freshmen…

I LOOOVED gym, haha. It was definitely worth it, even though I could have taken some academic course instead.
My school is an inner-city magnet type program. It’s pretty much split in two, with a lot of poorer kids and some richer, more academically inclined kids. There isn’t much interaction between the two except in speech and debate and … GYM! :D. Some of these kids that I had never seen before and would have been afraid to talk to ended up being pretty cool. Nice to have some perspective !

And I perfected my three pointer too! (I wish )

Love: Great break from the day, GPA booster, FUN, easy…
Hate: Pretty much nothing, how can you not like gym? You just play games for a class period which, in my case, is a quarter of the day since we are on block scheduling.

I hated how no one could keep up with me.

Love: Nothing.
Hate: That four years are required. Fxck that, my friend.
