usually it is directed toward a girl, and is taken as a sexual reference
however, just like many of snoop dogg’s phrases (which are overused by whites and asians and blacks alike), “drop it like it’s hot” is interchangeable with just about any phrase in colloquial English! :)</p>

<p>basically means to stop doing whatever they’re talking about.</p>

I called a friend to get data for a lab I needed to write up, and I’m like “hey, sorry for interrupting, you’re probably eating now, etc” , and he says “Dude, I’m watching the superbowl. Dinner is not happening” Me- "Super…bowl? " Him- “You know, the big football game” me- “…football? Outdoor activity?” </p>
