What fun things did you do this week?

I attended a meeting of the local quilting guild and met several really lovely & friendly individuals. I enjoyed the lesson/social hour so much I decided to join the guild.

The meeting was held in a town about 12 miles away that I’ve never been to before and so after the meeting did some shopping. (There’s Trader Joes right across the street from the quilt shop that hosted the meeting! TJ’s even had decent parking since it’s in a shopping center with multiple other stores, including a DSW.)

Thursday was the last day for the county-sponsored farmers’ market until next April so I went–bought lots of apples, pears, Brussel sprouts, winter squash, and cherry tomatoes.

Last Wednesday was the annual Book Fair at the twin’s school. So, D1, I and GS all went and had a wonderful time choosing books to buy. I bought Grumpy Monkey Play All Day.
GS picked out a Pete the Cat book, Twin A got a science book about states of matter and Twin B picked out 2 books–one about a night owl who is pestered by an early bird and the other about a little girls who hoards books until she learns what a library is.
