What is the "sexiest" college?

…ucsb :)

when i said sexy i meant sexy as it is literally but also cool. nyu isnt as cool as ucla

How is NYU not cool? Didn’t Priceton Review rank it #1 in most popular top choice school or something like that? NYU screams cool, class, glamour, etc. UCLA screams “college” which is nice, but not “sexy”.

“NYU screams cool”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the type of sexy screaming coming from NYU is a bit different from UCLA. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Ugh, whatever. If you mean hot people then yeah, UCLA. I just meant sexy aas in glamorous, chic, artsy, hip etc. not litterally (I want to have) "sex"y (with the people at the school).

Haha that sounds so stupid.

NYU has zero campus. And sure, NYC is a “glamorous” city in certain areas, but it’s also a trash dump in others and has boatloads of crime.

And whether or not you consider athletics “sexy,” sports are a VITAL part of the college experience. That’s another reason I wouldn’t go to NYU if they paid me.

In the contest between U Texas and NYU, consider the lists on which each school was ranked in the Top 20 by Princeton Review. You make the call on which is sexier.

U Texas: Best College Town, Best College Library, Best College Newspaper, Best Career Placement, Lots of Beer, Lots of Hard Liquor, Party Schools, Students Pack the Stadiums, Students Study the Least, Best Athletic Facilities, Most Politically Active Students

NYU: Best College Town, Dodgeball Targets, Gay Community Accepted, Intercollegiate Sports Not Accepted, Long Lines and Red Tape, Nobody Plays Intramural Sports, Least Accessible Professors, Students Dissatisfied with Financial Aid, Least Happy Students

Definately UT.

Does anyone know anyone who’s ever gotten FA from NYU?

I think that’s even harder than getting into H.

NYC is a “glamorous” city in certain areas, but it’s also a trash dump in others and has boatloads of crime.

This can be said of all cities.

Your personal preferences do not dictate what is VITAL for a college experience.

Anyways, based on the preferences on the original post, I think UCLA has the best balance. It might not currently have what UT has in sports, but it has a much better location, a better academic reputation, and is more famous (outside of sports. )

Random thought, what about Dartmouth? It falls short in the sports category, but does fairly well in all the rest I believe.

^ dartmouth seems just too nerdy to be “cool and sexy”

Im from florida and in general hate the attitude of many texans, but UTexas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UCLA in sports.

hookem168: Every single city on this earth is like that. Hell, LA is worse than nyc in that respect. Obviously you’ve never seen the area NYU is in otherwise you wouldn’t be talking about how it’s a bad area. Downtown manhattan is not a bad area. Even if there are bad areas of NYC there isn’t any reason to go to them if youre going to NYU.

^ nah i have visited both LA and NYC. nyc is dirtier. are you out of your mind to say UT > UCLA in sports? UCLA has won more NCAA than any other college like 101 to UT’s 39.

Wasnt Animal House based off Dartmouth?

UCLA does have more championships, but what have they done recently in the big 3 in terms of championships?

Are you guys till hung up on sports?
Jesus, ok, they are tied. End of story.
What’s to be compared it the QUALITY of life. Compare the nightlife, ie: the clubs, things to do in the city, at campus, etc.
Social life = making a school sexy.

Vanderbilt

no i am not giving up the argument. ucla > ut in sports. end of story. texas has nothing on ucla except for beef

Ugh come on seriously old sport. If you want to talk about overall sportswise, sure UCLA is superior. but those women’s water polo titles had a lot to do with it, and as far as I know, not many care about that sport.

Oh yeah UT has the benefit of being the state’s best flagship university, unlike UCLA which is second to Berkeley.
