<p>Rice is private so that doesn’t mean it’s the state’s (public) flagship university. </p>

<p>Since when are UCLA’s chicks hotter than UT’s? UT and ASU are usually ranked in the top when it comes to this facet. I’ve never seen UCLA.</p>

<p>UT has Austin, which is small enough for a college town atmosphere but big enough for endless career opportunities. LA more so for the latter, but I don’t think of LA as a college town. I mean c’mon, Austin is the Live Music Capital of the world.</p>

<p>UCLA sucks. No good sports team (love is gonna flop in the pros, your football team has no QB, maybe your bowling team is good or something). It’s not even the best public uni in the state.</p>

<p>As for college towns, Austin is INFINITELY better than LA. Whoever says otherwise clearly has never been to Austin. And no, I’m no longhorn.</p>

<p>^ yeah you know whats sad? ucla isnt our best UC but it hella is better than your # 1 UT. No city beats LA for college. we got the mall, the celebrities, westwood, beach, clubs, movies, and nice weather. sure hell beats meat-judging contests and country music.</p>
