The title says it all. I’m sure everyone has something to share. To me, CC is really intimidating with so many people sharing how they’re doing in scool and life. I guess my competitive nature is set very low in reality, but making an appearance on this site once in a while makes me live a little harder.
Please share your thoughts, and be honest. Honesty is pleasant and feelings are encouraged.
thanks
I was so overwhelmed, I didn’t know there was a forum where people discussed about college applications. I was intimidated by how competitive some students were, but at the same time they inspired me to do better in school.
A bunch of kids who probably have superiority complexes and think they know everything there is to know about getting into college because they’ve spent over 50 hours on one site.
Personally, I thought there was going to be a lot of bragging and condescension and whatnot, but most of the posts don’t seem to reflect that. A lot of the people here seem to be level-headed and, to be honest, quite good people. Darn I wish there were more braggarts on the website though - I could teach them a thing or two <3
My first impression was that this site is for straight-A, all honors/AP students who load up on EC’s and work sorely for the Ivy League/Selective College acceptance letter(s).
“O_O I feel so incompetent”… I thought I was on track academically, but then you see people who have a 5.0 gpa, over 9000 hours of volunteering, are the captain of 3 varsity sports teams, took 10 AP classes junior/senior year, published a book, cured cancer, and achieved world peace and still don’t get into HYPSM, so any chances of me making ivy league can just be tossed out the window along with any hopes of impressing anybody on CC.
