I am applying to exeter and Loomis chaffree, and I have an interview with these schools in a month. I am currently preparing for the interview by researching there websites so that when they ask a question like " Why do you want to come to our boarding school specifically," I will have an interesting and in-depth answer. However, I have not found much that makes these schools unique or stands out. I do know that Exeter uses the darkness method and is well known for their mathematics and science curriculum. But what are specific accomplishments, features, or programs that make Loomis chaff or exeter unique? For example, do they have the number 1 swimming team in the nation or have a special mathematics course, Japanese course, best study abroad program, or music program?
Exeter has one of the strongest swim teams on the east coast. One of our new swim recruits is ranked 20th in the nation. The Harkness method might mesh with you. The study abroad program is also extremely strong here. Exeter is an extremely diverse school, both in physical terms and in ideological terms. If you’re interested about Exeter, you can message me and I’ll tell you everything you might need.
