teriwtt, clearly he doesn’t really love Mira, he’s just been using her to get to Saul. I assumed from the angle that we saw her in the kitchen that he had set up a surveillance camera. Not sure about the computer aspect, since Saul wouldn’t (presumably) have any classified info on a home computer. As my father used to say, the thick plottens…

I thought she introduced him as someone she met in Mumbai. So are we then presuming he followed her to Mumbai in order to start a romance on the off chance that she were to return to Saul?

And I agree… Saul wouldn’t use his home computer to access any classified information.

And what’s Saul going to get Brody involved with next week???

And there’s just too many story lines going on to be resolved in the next four episodes!

BTW… the ONLY thing good about this season winding down is that it means I’m that much closer to another Downton Abbey season! (yea, I know… another thread).

Good point. But then logic has not been one of Homeland’s strengths this season: [Homeland Recap: Knowing the Game](Homeland Recap: Knowing the Game)

Exactly.

When he installed the device, I turned to my H and asked what exactly is he hoping to achieve by doing this?

You will be fired for taking classified materials from classified area into your office. Take them home and you will probably be prosecuted for treason.

Maybe Mira is the mole.

Booklady - thanks for the link… sort of! I get so frustrated when I get truly engrossed in a show, then some website somewhere has to call out ALL the obvious. Some of them I get on my own - some of them I hadn’t.

Was talking to D2 the other day (she doesn’t watch Homeland); when it comes to TV and anything fan/fic, or social media-related, she knows her stuff. I told her I was looking for a site that just gives me a synopsis, without all the editorializing. I can’t even read TelevisionWithoutPity! She really had no clues for me, as she is looking for the websites that encourage critical discussion and analysis of shows.

Like I said, no way they can properly resolve all these plot lines in four remaining episodes.

The last episode of Homeland was fantastic. I just watched it.

Saul was hiding Brody.

Quinn actually shot Carrie.

The plot thickens.

What does Saul want from Brody?

Brody looked almost dead. Saul had to cover his nose from the smell when he got close to Brody. I didn’t understand that part.

I bet Carrie loses the baby because of the gunshot.

My bet is that it’s stench from Brody having urinated and defecated on himself since it doesn’t look like he’s able to get up and use any sort of bathroom (not that that building looks like it HAS indoor plumbing).

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Alain is just a crazy love sick ex stalking Mira and not a spy after all?

This is the only series my SO watches; he was disappointed in last night’s episode. I thought the actor playing Brody did a great job. we were trying to figure out where they are going with plot.

Isn’t it kind of spooky to watch this episode that is all focused on Iran? - they are hatching a plot to assassinate the top intelligence guy in Iran so he will be replaced by their asset - while the actual news is full of this Iran nuclear deal.

NJRes, yes, absolutely. I turned to H last night and said “I guess Saul didn’t get the memo.”

I thought this was a pretty lame episode - the only interesting bits were Brody’s meeting with Dana and the revelation that Alain is a Mossad agent. The rest was just unbelievable: Brody recovering his strength and mental faculties that quickly (even if he did get a few extra weeks)? Carrie being able to sneak him away without anyone noticing?

Also: Carrie smoking while she’s pregnant - denial, much?

The only thing missing from the Brody training montage was a run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Bumping this up in anticipation of tonight’s episode.

Well that was a pretty bad episode. Two seconds before Brody and pal’s car blew up, H said “Wouldn’t there be land mines on the border?” And of course Brody is completely unscathed. As Saul might say, oy vey.

Sounding like a broken record here, but there are too many story lines to now resolve in two remaining episodes.

What’s with Quinn looking at Carrie’s medical records???

Well … That’s one way to ensure renewal for the new season. ;)
