What? Nobody watches Homeland?

Well, I totally disagree on all points.

What I find hard to swallow is that Carrie would keep working for those slimy bastards after they murdered Brody for their own ends. I find it hard to believe that anyone who knows what they did would EVER go into the field for them, again, the two-faced pricks. F. Murray Abraham turned out to be just the type of traitorous, self-serving jerk he seemed to be, and Saul still meets with him? What??!!

I am really, really furious.

Homeland was my favorite show.

HATED the finale.

HATED.

Damien Lewis was incredible.

Saul might be off the show.

I may give the show up.

Carrie had a drawerful of positive pregnancy sticks early in season. She was ambivalent about the pregnancy then, it didn’t surprise me that she was at end of pregnancy.

I have a friend that joked that she herself was going to be a terrible mom and not very maternal. She surprised herself and everyone around her and is amazing and devoted to her little one.

That said, Carrie will be a terrible mom. At least on her own. She is so obsessed about her job I cannot see her toting a baby to Istanbul and be Station Chief.

I can see her dad and sister caring for the baby. I cannot see Saul and his wife adopting her.

Some women are simply not mothering material - they would be first to admit it, too. They like a different life and the responsibilities of children are endless. I respect them for making their own decision to have or not have kids.

Dstark,

I thought you said you wanted Brody gone in previous post.

Love the show. This ending made me sad.

Maybe they will do something like in AMerican Horror Story and change storylines each season.

I have no idea how they can move on from here. It was a three year story, basically.

The next plot: Carrie’s Vengeance

I love Claire Danes too much to stop watching it. But I am really, really mad.

Odds of getting Brody out of Iran were not good to begin with. And then, what? He would have been hidden and hunted down to his imminent death.

The big picture to US-Iran relations was more important than Brody to CIA.

Carrie = loose cannon
Saul on way out, anyway.

My wife asked, “why I was so mad tonight?”.

I told her, “Because they killed Brody”.

Never wanted Brody gone.

More importantly, what are we going to do, to keep this thread alive until next September??? Let’s see how many different scenarios for next season we can come up with! Anyone here a good fanfic writer?

Okay, here goes:

Carrie opens a yoga studio.

Dstark,

I didn’t want him being killed off, either. Such an incredible character.

Stupid question and we will probably never know, but the redemption Brody gets - I wonder if his family ever gets to hear that it was all a setup and planned for the assassination of the foreign leader. My guess is no…which would be even more heartbreaking for their family.

My vote would have been to hang both Brody and Carrie and make next season about Quinn. I hated the way they handled her mental illness this season and there was not one thing about her that made her believable as a CIA agent up until the very end when she went up on the fence calling his name. She was the definition of unprofessional. I do watch her crumple and cry face video now and then for a chuckle. I really liked the first season, tolerated the second and enjoyed ridiculing the third.

SamuraiLandshark,

I really may stop watching.

I am not liking the Voice either. Another show I watch.

Maybe it is time to get rid of the tvs. :)

I am surprised she wasn’t dragged off that fence and killed. That mob wanted blood and the only one supporting Brody was an American woman. Ridiculous scenario.

Not believable CIA agent, for sure.

Dstark,
Game of Thrones. Soon.

I hear good things about Game of Thrones.

I dont know if I want to get hooked on another show.

It might be the reason I own a tv. To watch GoT.

If you decide to start, watch them in order.

Ok…

dstark, be aware that the author of the books upon which GoT is based does not hesitate to kill off heroes and good guys. I’m just warning you. :)

Having read all the books, I hesitated to watch the series. I am now working my way through the second season.

Oh, absolutely true. People get killed off. Bad stuff goes on. Sometimes a character you do not like grows on you over time.

And yet, my favorite tv show.

I love Game of Thrones. I have not read the books and am careful not to read anything about the show beforehand so I was caught completely off guard by everything in GoT. During one particular show this season, I shouted the F word and “NO!” at the television over and over thinking I could stop what was happening.

“dstark, be aware that the author of the books upon which GoT is based does not hesitate to kill off heroes and good guys. I’m just warning you.”

I can only watch happy shows. I dont know how I got hooked on Homeland. :)

I can still watch Modern Family.

I am not kidding about happy shows. Or movies.

I cant even watch the Hunger Games. I stopped watching the Hunger Games in the middle of the movie.
