What's for dinner at your house tonight?

Poached eggs on toast with Brussell sprouts cooked with bacon.

I have no idea what kind of crap Mr B is eating tonight, but I just made pan-fried (grilling outside is suicidal tonight!) steak with a green salad with a drizzle of TJ’s rice vinegar. OK, and 100 cal worth of Costco’s irresistable pretzel bread. Still a very low carb dinner. :)

Agrreed :)

Had some fresh mozzarella that needed to be used up so made pizza with pan-roasted cherry tomatoes and prosciutto, green salad with mustard vinaigrette, and sauteed brussel sprouts with lemon and pistachios.

I’m amazed how many people like Brussels sprouts.

To me they are the #3 worst food there is, behind only coconut and Lima beans.

Although maybe if they are cooked with enough bacon a la CuriousJane, they would be tolerable. Bacon makes everything taste better.

:D

I think in prep for the big holiday, no one should be cooking tonight or tomorrow - either clear out the refrigerator of leftovers or order a pizza. :)

We’re having turkey tonight. We always go to my sister’s for thanksgiving and although she makes turkey, it’s not as good and we don’t get leftovers so I make one too.

That sounds good - make mine pepperoni with green peppers and mushrooms.

We are having make your own pizza on the grill. I don’t do it often so I always find it nerve wracking to put raw dough on the grill. Topping choices are pepperoni, spinach, feta, green pepper, onion, banana peppers and mushrooms.

Take out chicken tonight…not fried, lemon and garlic…Tomorrow…dinner out. Thursday…what can I say? I’m cooking.

Not exactly healthy, but very good: chicken nachos.

Dairy and veggie for the next several nights, since my veggie child will be home. I’m hoping to do a cheese sampler when the kids are home, saving big bucks on a similar experience at our favorite fromagerie.

Baked barley risotto with butternut squash and spinach from Real Simple (could not be easier) with chicken sausages–basil and sundried tomato, fresh pear as a side.

Bluefish and eggplant on the grill. Put some garlic butter on both and fresh thyme and oregano on the eggplant. DH made salad.

We had crock pot French onion soup and a fresh apple salad. Very filling on a blustery day!

Turkey leftovers, again.

Big dinner salad. I have the turkey carcass simmering in a stock pot and have already diced the leftover meat. Going in turkey soup for the freezer tonight. I pitched the rest of the stuffing and gravy so I can’t do any more damage.

Tomorrow, I’m taking advantage of sunny weather and the fact that the big grill/smoker is still set up from doing the turkey. I’m going to cook enough bar-b-q to stock the freezer for the winter. Four full slabs of baby back ribs and four small boneless pork butts. Bar-b-que once a week 'til spring! The stuff freezes really, really well.

Actually, what I like to do is pull out a half slab of ribs and a portion of pulled pork and have 1/2 and 1/2 combo platters two nights in a row. Pretty good eating for something that just has to be defroasted and nuked.

Turkey enchiladas. Not my best effort, but everyone licked the platter clean. I think if you put enough cheese on it, my family will eat it. Still have turkey leftovers so I think tomorrow is turkey soup night.

Leftover casserole, dressing, sweet potatoes and broccoli.

Pizza from round table. :)
