What's for dinner at your house tonight?

Thanks Mathmom! That does sound easy.

Tonight S2 and I went out for sushi and udon. Yum–but so much salt.

Stradmom, could it have been your rice? Risotto requires a high starch rice such as arborio which absorbs liquid well.

Having said that I prefer a barley risotto to one made with rice. This is similar to one I make.

Chuck roast recipe that I got from the Costco sample lady! Season roast with garlic seasoning, salt and pepper. Bake roast at 350 for 3 hours. Shred meat, then pour mixture of 3/4 cup water with 1/2 cup brown sugar over meat and juices. Bake another 15 mins to warm liquid. Everyone loves it. Served it with homemade applesauce, saut

in a kitchen frenzy today

made some greek pinwheel sandwiches for lunch: cream cheese mixed with feta spread on tortillas and topped with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives. red pepper strips and diced cukes.

In the process of making Shepard’s Pie for tomorrow night.

It’s been in the 50s today so we’re doing steak on the grill. I might even bake a potato since my sister-in-law brought up a bunch for Christmas and we didn’t eat them all. Green beans. And I have some left over sauteed mushrooms I’ll stir into the beans.

I went to Trader Joe’s and picked up ready made pizza dough for tonight. DH and I love veggie pizza and lilD likes cheese. I’ll also make a simple green salad.

We had meatball subs and ranch pasta salad tonight.

Chicken marsala, if I get my butt in gear!

laketime, it was arborio…but I’m liking the sound of your barley recipe now.

Tonight was chicken with what turned out to be a really nice honey mustard sauce.

Vegetarian “corned beef” and cabbage.

Tortellini in a garlic lemon parsley sauce, green salad and a deliciously smooth Napa red blend.

Some kind of pasta. DH is cooking and it smells heavenly.

Beef chuck pot roast in the slow cooker with baby carrots, a green salad, bread and fresh pineapple for dessert.

Okay zoosermom
I’ll bite. what is vegetarian corned beef?

I sat on my butt all day long listening to a couple of really boring lectures. In addition, my stomach rebelled this morning, and I could not eat a thing until MrB picked me up and took me out to a sushi restaurant. I could not eat any sushi, but miso soup was a great replacement of “chicken soup” for me. :)

I can’t even look at food now…

Sending BB virtual ginger ale and saltines.

Today is either a movie and dinner
