I would love to know where the contributors to this board are located. Most of us don’t include that information (I didn’t until a couple of days ago) but I find it interesting and sometimes it influences my responses. For example, if a poster is an international student, or living in my own region, or living in a town where my kid is about to go audition and might know a good place to eat.

In case you’re willing to share that information, you can update your profile. First, click on “My Control Panel” on the blue horizontal stripe above. Next, click on “Edit Your Details,” scroll down to “Additional Details,” and fill in “Location.”

I just did this the other day, prodesse–thought of it when ugadog was traveling through Virginia and I had the same thought as you–these connections can help in more ways than one! :)

Prodesse, I think you referenced in another post yesterday that there is a thread or forum about surrounding areas of schools: places to eat, things to see, etc. where can I find that?
Thanks!

Seeing if my location was changed in my profile. But I know New York City so if anyone wants fun ideas for shopping, eating and killing time ask away!

I live near Madison, WI - shout out to ActingDad! - but I grew up in the Boston area and spent many years in Chicago. I guess I split the difference . Both of my kids have ended up on the east coast for college.

Well, I guess after almost 11 years on this site, it is time to add location to my profile!
Then, again, my name is meant to reveal my location: Soozie “in” VT.

NJTheatreMom, like AlwaysAMom, I also grew up in your neck of the woods.
