The city of Chicago!

Yeah, all you guys from South Jersey…maybe if I come down in April to see my D’s gig in Philly, I can meet up with you. I have met many CCers over the years and it is great fun. I grew up in Cherry Hill. My parents have now passed away but my brother lives in Medford.

Gwen, I had no idea you live in Ptown! I’ve been there many times and we love it there! By any chance, did you contact me a long while back in a professional capacity? There was a mom from Ptown who contacted me about maybe working with her daughter, but we did not end up working together. It could have been someone else but Ptown is not all that big. (you don’t have to answer that on the forum of course)

Soozievt, that would be great fun. Just pm one of us Philly-area cc’ers and we can possibly meet up.

My location changes quite frequently, however, temporarily I am in the middle of nowhere in Southern Wisconsin. I will update my profile in a few months when I get my new location.

If anyone is near me please let me know. Oh, never mind, there is not a sole in sight so I am sure no one is near me:):):):):)

If anyone on CC knows anyone, that knows anyone else on CC, that knows anyone else that use to be on CC, that has a relative that owns a farm near me please let me know. (As you can tell I have no one to talk to:)

soozievt, I live in Philadelphia- where is your daughter performing? Please message me if it’s not appropriate to post here.

glassharmonica, I sent you an email as my D’s show is her own concert of original songs at a venue in Philadelphia and to mention it here, would readily identify her. Thanks for taking an interest!

Soozievt, so cool your D is singing original songs!

connections, thanks. She has four different careers going at once and one of these is a singer/songwriter (original material) and she has CDs out and regular gigs and residencies at NYC venues (I’m going to one in the coming week!) and has also booked gigs in LA, Boston, and Philly. As a performer, she doesn’t just wait for work to come to her but creates her own work and opportunities to perform.

I had sent you an email by the way and hope you got that.

Susan, I’ve been listening to some of her recent music. So wonderful! She’s more beautiful than ever, too. Sorry, OT here for a minute. Is it possible to change our email address here on CC? The one I have had all these years is no longer accessible and I’d like to add a new one.

My trip to NJ is probably mid-May. Would love to get together with you south Jersey ladies if possible.

alwaysamom, sounds great. Pm me or one of the other South Jersey cohort as you get closer with a date–it would be fun!

soozievt, my daughter (the one I post about here) is also a singer/songwriter, in addition to her other pursuits, and has performed at that venue. It’s a terrific destination for a singer/songwriter, one of the best locally. It’s great that your daughter is moving forward on all fronts of her career simultaneously and strongly!

I live in Charleston, West Virginia. You wouldn’t think it, but it has a very active arts community. There are at least six community theater groups, including one for children and another for teens. It’s turned my son into the quintessential “big fish in a little pond.” We’ll see how that turns out for him in the long run . . .

We are in Pennsylvania, in the suburbs north of Philly. I bet we drive past ActingDad and his D fairly often on our way to NYC!

Lots of Jersey folks here, add me to the list. Northeastern NJ (Bergen County), just a few miles from the NY state border. Easy access to NYC from here…grew up in Hoboken, on the Hudson River with a view of the NYC skyline.

This is a good thread! Keep adding your locations to your profile details, everyone!

alwaysamom: Thank you for the supportive and positive comments!

You could probably contact the forum administrator, Roger Dooley. Or use the Report Post function (of your own post) and ask the moderators how to go about that and maybe they might know?).

I won’t be in South Jersey myself in May. I will attend my other D’s graduate school graduation in mid May. However, if you are going to NYC during your trip, I am going there at least once in May, to see my D’s first night in the Off Broadway musical she was recently cast in. I’m not sure yet, but I might also consider going to NYC in May another time, if I can fit these trips in around one another, to see the NYC workshop of the musical my D was commissioned to write for by a big West coast theater. I haven’t met you in all these years!

glassharmonica, I had no idea your daughter is also a singer/songwriter, as one of her pursuits, like my daughter. My daughter is performing in the smaller area of that venue, I believe, but it is not like people in Philly know of her. I’m seeing her gig in NYC this Monday but that is in a larger venue. Would love to hear your D’s work some time.

To change your e-mail address, go to “My Control Panel” which is one of the links on the pale blue stripe across the screen, near the top. There’s a link to edit your e-mail and other details. While you’re there, please add your Location if you haven’t already. It’s fun and often helpful to see where people are located.

^^Oh, there ya go! Easy enough.

connections, will do!

prodesse, thank you for your help. You’d think that for all the time I’ve been here, I would have been able to figure that out :)

Susan, will let you know if my trip will include a stop in NYC. I’d love that! I probably will be in NJ for four or five days. A mini-reunion with old friends and visiting another friend whose mom passed away recently. Now that I think of it, she went to the same high school as you did. Wouldn’t that be crazy if you knew her?!

^ha, I have been on CC for almost 11 years and never knew how to do that either!

One of these days, we’ll meet up. NYC will likely be the place.
