Who here applied ED?

Well does Tisch LSP? I applied to Tisch.
And my SATsin total were 1680. ACT was 25.
Tests like that give me anxiety and stuff. I’m really mart outside of those tests though.

i’m gonna start bracing myself for a rejection letter.

…really really should have applied to a couple places in england.

So am I, Lodo.

Positive thinking guys!!!

I’m thinking positive, just making sure I won’t be completely shattered if I get rejected

agree with lodo.
at this point, after truly understanding the statistics of stern applicants, I just hope I don’t cry too much after receiving my rejection letter.

Magnificent: don’t worry! Your stats are very competitive for stern.

Can someone calm me down about my crappy SATs?
Would the 4.35 GPA make up for them?

@Kelryry I think the GPA will more than make up for the crappy SATs. :-)

Anyone else receive any admissions decisions for today?

Decisions aren’t coming out until the 15th.
I think all LSP decisions are done.

Tisch only LSPs for film production. And it’s a 1 yr program with a 3.0 requiered GPA (instead of 2 yrs, 2.0)

@jjohn

Yeah. So I’m either accepted or rejected. I wish I could have been LSP’d.

@justspice: you rock. :smiley: lol.

yeah I’ve about given up on getting into Stern, but now I’m looking at other good universities where I may have a decent shot lol. I gotta get accepted somewhere right? :)

Yeah, same, sasasa.
If I don’t get into NYU I think I’m going to apply to transfer in sophomore year though.

Ahh reading this thread makes me more nervous than I already am!! I still haven’t gotten the student newsletter thing…and I won’t even deny it, if I don’t get in, I WILL be shattered. I’ve never wanted anything like I want this :/

sorry if someone already said this but what exactly is this ‘student newsletter’?
was it an email or an actual letter? if it was an actual letter is it just one sheet or is it one of those booklets they send with the nice designs?
Thanks!

@KADOSH Wooooo south florida! im from the palm beach area :D

WOW this whole newletter thing has totally been blown up lol I shouldn’t have even mentioned it. The only reason I brought it up was because I hadn’t heard from NYU email or mail AT ALL since I submitted my application. Then all of a sudden, 2 weeks before ED decision, 1 day after LSP notifications I get this from NYU out of the blue. It was a little weird, but I’m sure it doesn’t have a whole lot to do with whether or not you’re accepted. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, but it certainly doesn’t GUARANTEE that you’re in if you got one.

@costanza712 The student newsletter is an actual letter through the mail, not an email. It is not a booklet or packet at all. It is just 2 sheets of folded paper that talk about NYU’s community, diversity, and 1st year dorming experience as a freshmen and how everything works. It is by no means an “inferred acceptance” although it might be. I don’t know exactly. But yes, it does have a somewhat nice design lol

For all you freaking out about this newsletter…please dont lol. I’m sure it doesn’t mean as much as you guys are making it.
